The organization chart above shows the higher position of PROTON’s organization. In fact, PROTON has
been using matrix organizational structure as a guidance in running the company. Firstly, Dato’ Sri Syed
Faisal Albar is a chairman of this company since 2016. Chairman hold the highest position of an
organization who responsible for setting goals consistent with the stated mission, vision, and objectives
of the company. After that, there is a line of the directors of PROTON. Directors in a company, depending
on their specific titles and responsibilities. They need to ensure that the department comes to fruition.
Next, CEO (Chief Executive Officer) is the highest position in executive of company. They responsible is to
corporate decisions, managing overall operations, and ensuring the company’s success.

Organizing means relationships among members for effective interaction and cooperation to
reach an objective within the organization through creating an organizational structure, assigning human
resources, defining job rules and establishing communication channels. When the final decisions are
made by the highest level of organization, the implementation should be carried out by lower-level until
attaining satisfaction.

Firstly, organization structure refers to the framework and arrangement of roles who have
already been assigned responsibility, as well as teamwork and relationships within an organization. The
structured can be formalized through charts that contains level of authority among different positions or
departments in organization depending on the size of the company. Proton employs a matrix
organizational structure because it is commonly used by organizations that require flexibility and
responsiveness to changes in project scopes or market conditions. Matrix structure is basically the work
groups on the basis of two dimension simultaneously. Nevertheless, matrix management can be
successful if there is effective communication between managers and employees, mutual understanding,
and a clear acknowledgment of responsibility for their respective tasks. Manager have been divided
based on specialization of area, their responsible is to be a strong leader in order to get a perfect
success. Thus, may affect how decisions made, information flows and work will automatically be being
organized.

Besides, assigning human resource means allocating or designating individuals within a


workforce to specific tasks based on their skills, qualifications and requirements of the job. In fact,
Proton need to be selective and entitled to set their own standard in order to find a quality worker.
Example, to find a person with a mechanical skill, must have at least degree qualifications relate to
mechanical engineering or automotive engineering, able to troubleshoot and repair any mechanical
issues related, as well as proficient in teamwork skills who has effective communication within a team.
Human resource in organization needs to be efficient in identifying the abilities and contribution of each
employee who been hired in order to completed those work systematically along with to reach
organization’s goals.
