833272 - Change of delivery and transportation scheduling in SD

Symptom
1. A schedule line in a sales order is fully referenced. If you then call the
availability check for the relevant item, the system reschedules the corresponding
schedule line. However, this scheduling is not carried out according to the rules set in
Customizing. For more information, see SAP Note 547508, Point 2.
2. A schedule line in a sales order has a requested delivery date in the past. Each time
the system rechecks the relevant item, it carries out a scheduling for this schedule
line, and the schedule line receives completely new data (except for the requested
delivery date) that is determined by the forward scheduling. This also applies if the
schedule line is already partially referenced. For more information, see SAP Note
547508.

Reason and Prerequisites

Missing function. In the standard system, the system reschedules all schedule lines for an
item during an availability check, even if the schedule lines are completed or if they are
in the past.

Solution
Implement the attached correction instructions.

By implementing this modification, the behavior of the scheduling in the sales order changes
as follows:
Fully referenced schedule lines are scheduled according to the rules defined in
Customizing - however, they are only scheduled backwards. This ensures that the
original result of the scheduling (before the schedule lines are referenced) is
retained.
If the requested delivery date of a schedule line cannot be met since it does not
(or no longer) lie far enough in the future (or is already in the past), the system
only starts scheduling this schedule line backwards, during the availability check
of the relevant item. This ensures that the original result of the scheduling is
retained, meaning that the schedule line receives data that lies in the past.

Note the following points before you implement the modification attached to this SAP Note:
