1. TEAM FORMATION

1. The competition is open for all students of college,


polytechnical institute and undergraduate university
students.

2. A team should not consist of more than 5 members.

3. Cross institute teams are allowed to participate.

4. A person cannot be member of multiple teams.

5. Each team can have only one soccer bot and that must
be their own soccer bot. Multiple teams using one soccer
bot or one team using multiple soccer bots is not allowed.

2. SOCCER BOT SPECIFICATION

1. Physical Specification :
1. Maximum dimension limit of the bot is 25 cm (length) ×
25 cm (width) × 20 cm(height).
2. Maximum weight of bot is 3 kg.
3. The robot must have its own battery. Any wired power
supply is not allowed.
4. The rated voltage of motor used must be within 12 to 24
volts.
5. Use of grabbing mechanism is strictly prohibited. Robot
can only push or kick the ball.
6. Any use of weapon, fire, water or other chemical is not
allowed. Robots can only use mechanical force for
playing.
7. Ready-made logo kit and Internal Combustion engine
are not allowed.
8. Ready-made gear assemblies are allowed.
9. No pillowy parts can be used with the bot, which may
deflect the opponent bot on contact.
10. Addition of Kicking Mechanism is optional for the
teams. It is ok If any team doesn’t want to improvise it

2. Bracket Specification:
1. All shapes of the brackets are ϴ
allowed.
2. Maximum bracket length is 20
cm
3. The angle between the bracket
and the bot ϴ must be ϴ ≥ 90°.

3. Control System :
1. Control unit must have its own power supply.
2. The controller must control the bot through wireless
communication.

4. BALL & ARENA SPECIFICATION

1. ARENA :
1. Size of the arena is 10 feet in length and 6 feet in
width.
2. The arena will be surrounded by walls of 5 inches.
3. There will be two goalposts. Each will be 18 inches in
length and 6 inches in height

5. RULES OF THE GAME

1. General Rules :
1. A match will be held between two teams.
2. Fixture will be fixed according to the number of
participants
3. Each team will compete against a randomly selected
team.
4. Before a match, a team will have 3 minutes for program
setup and testing purpose.
5. A match is divided into two halves. Each half will be 2.5
minutes long. There will a 1-minute break for
maintenance between the halves.
6. If any team member touches the bot during the match,
it will be considered as a foul.
7. Bot will be placed at the starting point mark at the
beginning of the game.
8. If two robots are tangled with each other, then the
referee will pause the game with whistle and place them
at their starting position.
9. If both bots simultaneously push/force/fight with the ball
for 7 seconds, then referee will blow whistle and place
the bots and the ball at respective starting positions.
10. Maximum 1 member of a team can stay in the restricted
area around the arena during the match.

2. Free Kick :
1. If a team does a foul, the opponent will get a free kick.
2. For free kick / penalty shot. only kicking / pushing is
allowed. In case of pushing, front wheel can’t cross
the corresponding line
3. If a bot lifts the opponent bot from the ground at any
place of the arena, then the opponent bot will get a
free kick.
4. If a bot flips the bot of the opponent at its own half,
then the opponent will get a free kick.
5. No team can intentionally push/force/fight with the
opponent without the ball. This will be treated a foul
and the opponent will get a free kick.
6. The team which wins the free kick will place the bot
at the free kick point. Ball will be placed at centre. The
opponent bot will be set at the starting point of its
half.
7. If the front wheels of a bot touches the goal line of
the opponent, then it will be considered as a foul.

3. Penalty :
1. If a bot flips the bot of the opponent at the
opponent’s half, then the opponent will get a penalty
kick.
2. Opponent will get a penalty shoot-out if any robot
does not move for 15 seconds from a position.
3. If a team commits repeated fouls more than 5 times,
then the opponent will be given a penalty kick.
4. For penalty shoot-out, the ball will be placed in the
opponent’s free kick point. The ball can only be
pushed or kicked from that point. The front wheel of
the bot cannot completely cross the free kick line. In
that case the penalty will be dismissed.
5. If any team does not push or shoot the ball out of the
free kick point within 10 seconds of the start of the
whistle the penalty shot will be cancelled.

4. SCORING
1. For each goal: +10 points
2. For each foul: −1 points
3. If any problem with the bot occurs during the
match, the team will get a maximum of 3 minutes to
repair the bot with −1 point for every 10 seconds.

5. DISQUALIFICATION
1. Damaging the arena may result in disqualification
from the competition. The referee will take the
decision of disqualification.
2. Any act of disrespect towards judges, referees,
security rules or opponent teams will result in
disqualification of the team from the competition.
3. If a team fails to arrive at due time, they will be
disqualified.

6. WINNER DECLARATION PROCESS

1. Normal Condition

Total point will be counted using the equation,

Point = G*10 - F*1 - ( 1 per 10 second repair )

Here, G = Number of Goals


F = Number of Fouls

The team with higher points will be declared as


winner.

2. Tie Break
1. If the score after match time ties, a sudden death overtime will
take place. There will be two halves each with 1-minute time
and a maintenance break of 30 second. In this round, the
team to score a goal first will win the match.
2. Each team will be given 3 penalty shoot-outs. The team with
the most goals in the penalty shoot-out round will be
considered the winner.
3. If winner cannot be decided from the penalty shoot-out round,
then the number of fouls will be counted. The team with less
number of fouls will be declared as the winner.

3. Odd Number Qualification Break

Teams with higher goal difference will qualify to the next

round.

If goal difference mechanism cannot decide, then teams

with lower number of fouls will qualify to the next round.

If number of fouls cannot decide, then teams with lower

number of restart will qualify to the next round.

7. GENERAL INFORMATION

1. Robot must be handed over to the event


organizers at least 1 hour before the start of the
competition for inspection process.
2. Winner of the grand finale will be declared as
champion and the defeated team will be declared
as 1st runner up.
3. A third place deciding match will be held and the
winner will be declared as 2nd runner up.
4. Every member of every team will receive a
participation certificate.
5. The organizers can request the robot from any
team at any time for inspection.
6. Teams must be co-operative for inspection. In the
case of doubt or confusion, the decision of the
judges will be final.
7. Fixture will be changed with the increase of
number of participants.

8. DISCLAIMER

1. The authority reserves the right to change any


rule at any time without any previous notice.
2. Participants must bring their student IDs of
their institution for verification process.
Otherwise, the organizers reserve the right to
disqualify the team.
3. Organizers will not take any responsibility for
any damage to the robot during the
competition.

9. DATA CONSENT

1. By doing registration for the competition, a


team gives the organizers the right to store
and use their given data.
2. If required, the organizers may disclose the
name of participants and pictures at any time
frame of the event.
