Management Plan
The management plan gives the students detailed knowledge about efficient classroom
operation. The students are also able to comprehend what is anticipated of them and what will
happen if these expectations are not fulfilled according to this plan. As a result, when this
plan is put into practice, a majority of disruptive actions in the classroom should be avoided.
This classroom will offer the students a secure, enjoyable learning atmosphere, all while
enabling them to thrive in a setting with high standards. This management plan will be
introduced at the beginning of the year and reviewed throughout the school year!
Classroom Goals
❖ The learner will be aware of what is expected of them as a core classroom component.
❖ Recognize that school is an educational environment and feel at ease approaching their
❖ Decreased fears about discipline from the beginning to the conclusion of the year.
❖ Improve and/or enhance the ability to control behavior, both acceptable and
unacceptable.
❖ All classroom members will have a positive attitude toward their peers and themselves.
❖ All classroom members will treat others how they want to be treated and respect each
other.
❖ Every student in the class will listen with the intention of gaining knowledge /answering.
❖ All students will actively participate in creating the rules for the classroom.
❖ At all times, the teacher will provide a good example for students.
❖ The teacher will frequently commend students for their charitable acts and proper
behavior.
❖ With the purpose of fostering a secure learning environment, the teacher will encourage
Classroom Rules
❖ While the teacher speaks, we shall be attentive with eyes and ears.
Positive Behavior:
❖ Water droplets are given out for acts of kindness. These droplets state the act of kindness
❖ Every week numerous droplets are chosen to be read on our school morning
❖ Notes home will also be made for outstanding behavior in the classroom!
Negative Behavior:
❖ The chart has every student's name with a green, yellow, and red card.
❖ If the student misbehaves after the verbal warning, the student is instructed to switch their
card to yellow. This serves as a visual reminder for the teacher and student.
❖ If a student has a yellow card, they meet with me 10 minutes before recess to discuss why
they have a yellow card and how they can change their behavior to prevent this from
happening again.
❖ If the student continues to make poor behavioral choices that same day, they have to
parents will take place to discuss how the student can improve their behavior in the
classroom.
❖ Every month we review the behavior chart so students never forget the daily
expectations.
Classroom Jobs
❖ Line Leader: In hallways, the line leader leads the line. This reduces disputes about who
❖ Messenger 1 & 2: Each morning, messengers 1 & 2 bring lunch selection, attendance,
and any other messages that may be necessary to the office. Every week, a new person
❖ Pencil Sharpener: Sharpening a pencil whenever necessary, sharpens dull pencils at the
conclusion of each day. Every week, a new person fills this role.
❖ Board Eraser: At the conclusion of the day, a board eraser removes the marker off the
whiteboard.
❖ Door Holder: When students are moving through the school, the door holder holds the
❖ Substitute: A substitute performs the duties of absent students. Every week, this position
is changed.
❖ Teacher's Assistant 1 and 2: Helps the teacher distribute the required materials and
switches weekly.
❖ Caboose: This student has the duty of standing in the back of the line whenever the class
is in the hallway and ensures the class is quiet and stays together. This job switches
weekly.
Classroom Procedures
❖ Once students enter the classroom, they are expected to go to the closet and hang their
backpacks up and take out their lunch to put in the lunch bin, which is located in the
hallway.
❖ Students then are expected to check off what they would like for lunch if they did not
❖ If there was any homework due, students are instructed to bring it to the teacher’s desk
❖ Students should begin their morning work which is located at the front of the room.
❖ The whiteboard will have helpful tips or instructions for morning work.
❖ Messenger 1 & 2 read off lunch selection and attendance for the teacher once all buses
have arrived.
❖ The teacher confirms absences and then has the two messengers take the attendance and
❖ Students and the teacher move to the carpet for morning announcements when

❖ Any student who arrives at school after the morning bell (decided by the administration)
must check in the office with a guardian and first get a late pass from the school office
❖ Report cards and parent-teacher conferences will both note students' tardiness.
❖ If tardiness becomes a recurring issue, the teacher will get in touch with the parent or
guardian.

Assignments
❖ Every student has an assignment book in which they write their homework down in.
❖ At the end of the day the teacher will project what students should be writing down in
❖ Parents are expected to view their child’s assignment book and sign it every night!
❖ Upcoming assignments for the week are included in the weekly email sent to guardians.
Turning in Assignments
❖ Any homework must be put in the "homework bin" as part of the morning "unpacking"
to any students who may have forgotten to turn in their homework, the teacher will
❖ In order to guarantee that all students have handed in their homework, the teacher collects
❖ Any assignments/projects will be handed out by teacher's assistant 1 and 2, who helps the
❖ Late assignments will be excused once a month unless a note from home from a parent is
❖ If assignments are late/missing more than once a month, a note will be written in the
student’s assignment book for the parents to read. Every assignment book is signed every
❖ If a parent doesn’t sign off and respond to the note in the student’s assignment book, an
❖ Once a student is absent, all assignments that are missed will be placed on their desk.
❖ An email will be sent home to the student’s parents informing them on what their child
❖ Parents are welcome to pick up work for their children but aren’t obligated to.
❖ If a student is absent for longer than a week, parents and teacher will discuss a set
deadline for late work depending on the reason for absence (Extremely ill).
❖ If a student is going on vacation, parents are enforced to inform the teacher so they can be
provided with the assignments their child will be missing while they are absent.
❖ For missed tests, students can make it up in a separate room with an aide during
❖ Every student has their personal assignment book, which is signed by a parent every
night. A note will be written in their assignment book if the teacher has any questions or
concerns.
❖ An email will be sent to the parents if the note is not responded to in the assignment
book.
❖ Weekly emails will be sent out to parents discussing what is being covered that week and
any questions or concerns but are also welcome to write in their child's assignment
books!
❖ The classroom also has a website for only parents and the teacher to access, where fun
pictures can be posted for parents to see their child’s projects and their interactions with
their classmates.
