Padel Court Introduction

Padel is one of the fastest growing sports globally with approximately 10 million players. Developed in South America in the late 1960s, it was introduced to Europe in the 1970s. Padel is played on an enclosed court that is smaller than a tennis court, with glass or mesh walls and wire fencing. It is meant to be played as doubles and allows players to bounce the ball off the walls. New players find it an easier introduction than tennis or squash, but more advanced players find it equally demanding due to new skills required. The document provides details on padel court construction including dimensions, structures, finishes, and optional covers to allow for year-round play.

New players to the game, of all ages, find it an

demanding as it requires new skills and

PADEL COURT COVER

DESCRIPTION:

All Courts can be specified with the Cover. Based on the Cove Permanent
Sports Area, the Padel Cover is designed to protect Padel tennis courts from
wind and rain - enabling practice and play in any weather. This transforms a
Padel court from a summer use only facility, into one which can be used all
year round. Optional lighting systems allow play to continue after dark.
