Chapter 3

This chapter outlines the research methodology used in the study. A descriptive research method was used to understand first year students' perspectives on education 5.0 through online classes. Primary data was collected through personal observations and surveys of Marikina Polytechnic College students. Secondary data came from libraries, journals, and school administration. Survey questionnaires were used to gather information from respondents. Statistical analysis including frequency, percentage distribution, and t-tests were used to analyze the data.

Research Design

This chapter consist of the method of research used, the sources of data,
and the data gathering procedure, the data gathering instruments and the
statistical treatment data.

Method of Research Used

This study utilized the descriptive method of research that look into the
education 5.0 of first year students, the descriptive technique of research was
used in this study. According to Alharbi Abdullah (2023) Planning utilizing a
survey questioner, study to observe and assess some other latent concerns
which affect the implementation of education 5.0. The goal of this study is to
determine the perspective of 1st year students in education 5.0 thru online
classes meaningful bearing on the outcomes.

Sources of Data

There are two possible sources of data: internal sources and external
sources. Primary data refers to information received from internal sources;
secondary data refers to information gathered from external sources. The primary
and secondary data used in this study are listed below.
Primary Data Used in this Study

• Personal Observation

By completing the survey questionnaire, the researchers are asked to

reflect on the results and the significant differences between the perspective of
1st year students in education 5.0.

• Survey Questionnaire

The survey questionnaire serves as one of the primary instruments in

this study because it is the tool used by the researchers to gather data and
information from the respective respondents to this study.

• School Administration

Data Gathering Instruments

The 1 st year students of BTVTED the information we gathered came

from these sources. The researcher used a questionnaire that was derived from
prior studies and research in order to carry out the type of research we are doing.
Because it is well known to be the least expensive and least biased method of
data collection, the researcher also employed it. Additionally, it promotes the use
of the flexible options that were provided to take into account those that apply to
our study in order to avoid bias in the data collection process. Respondents are
prompted to cooperate more because it is much more comfortable and open-
ended to respond to questions that are related to and specific to the type of
research the researcher is conducting.

Data Gathering Procedure

Researchers completed validation questionnaires from Marikina

Polytechnic College students. In order to identify the one (1) respondent that was
required, which are the students, a questionnaire survey was conducted.

A sample survey questionnaire will be used by the researchers as their

primary research tool. This survey will be conducted in person because of the
new normal we are in. Questions that are important to the study will be on the
test. The instrument will be a survey questionnaire guide. It will inquire of the
respondents whether they have a perspective of first-year students in education
5.0.

Statistical Treatment Data

In this study, statistical procedures were applied to the data to provide a

clearer understanding of the analysis.

To determine the perspective of 1st year student in education 5.0 and was
utilized to interpreted using the number of respondent and percentage scale.

 Frequency and Percentage Distribution

•It is used to determine the response frequency and the number of
actual responses.

Formula:
Where:

P= Percentage f= Frequency n= Total of respondents’ 100= Constant

Mode: the most frequently occurring score in a set of data.

 T-test
It is used to compare the means of two samples. It compares
whether the dependent variable’s distribution is the same in both groups
and thus from the same population.
