The syllabus is mapped to the relevant National Occupational Standard (NOS): NOS for Health and
Safety (Standalone units) published by Pro skills Standards Setting Organization.

PEDAGOGY
The classes for this program will be conducted on KEN Interactive Learning Platform through
LIVE lectures. The pedagogy will comprise online lectures, interactive learning, modular design,
visual aids, personalized learning, real-world applications, formative assessment, collaborative
learning, feedback and support

EXAMINATION
The course will be evaluated through four online examinations, held every three months, with a
duration of 4.5 hours each. The examinations will consist of 50 objective questions and 50
descriptive questions

PROJECT REPORT SUBMISSION

As part of the course requirements, students are expected to assess the current health and safety
culture of an organization or a specific department, preferably their own workplace. This
assessment should consider both positive and negative indicators, observable and underlying
attitudes and beliefs about health, safety and risk at work. Students will need to analyze the data
collected in order to arrive at conclusions about the health and safety culture of the organization
or department. Upon completion, students will be required to submit a project report of no more
than 2000 words within 60 days after the final exam

COURSE DURATION
Graduate Honor is a four-year program that can be completed in a fast track of 12 months for
learning and 2 months for project report submission. The program consists of a total of 512 learning
hours
