Our motivational theory:

-Daniel Pink:

Sometimes achieving complex tasks can lead to motivation. He introduced us to the fact that

intrinsic motivation means achieving something or completing something not because of the

reward that they can give you, but for the satisfaction of achieving something on your own.

He proposed the well-known self-determination theory (SDT), this theory mentions that

humans want to be autonomous, and responsible by their self-determination and to be

connected to other people and globalization.

Why did we choose this motivational theory?

We chose this theory because it talks about how human beings want to be autonomous, and

that what they care about is their self-approval and self-appraisal our questions, you can see

that mostly it is about how they feel about their work, if they feel motivated, how they feel

when they see results, our interviews are more about how the person feels about their work

and how they could do to improve it and make you feel better about yourself.

We also find it magnificent that human beings sometimes only need their approval to reach

the highest places, the fact that they are perseverant for the satisfaction that comes with being

able to do things on their own. It is incredible how people come to achieve their goals with

only their motivation, creating even more motivation.

Questions and answers;

Brenda De La Torre

1. What do you think about your job?

"I love it and that's why I chose this profession because you not only learn from the children

and give them your knowledge, but they also teach you, it's an exchange, they learn by

playing and you have fun watching them play and learn".

2. What do you do in your daily workday?

“My routine would be that they arrive and we choose the way they want to be greeted, there

are three figures so they choose how they want to greet, whether by hug or song, if they want

to dance or if they want a high five then they enter with that spirit and From there we do the

routine, apart from greeting, they arrive, they start playing with the toys, that takes a while,

from there we do the circle time which is the moment where we start classes and we give

them the guidelines, we make the calendar, date, how many children there are in attendance,

they tell us who has been absent, we go to the bathroom and when we return there we start

classes depending on the schedule, for example I teach everything that is Spanish,

mathematics, language, social environment and according to the schedule We are teaching

the class, what do I teach specifically in mathematics? Well, it is a slightly more advanced

2
level in preschool, they learn colors, shapes, numbers and to add, subtract, to use the number

line and they see the same thing that they see since kindergarten but more advanced, in

language, they have to end up reading syllables and write them, then they work with the

letters, recognizing them, what happens is that at school we have a methodology that is

ludiletters, so we work with this system that is through gestures, it is easier to learn language

through gestures and letters.”

3. What would you say to your past self in your first job day?

“Go for it if you can”

4. How do you control your emotions with the kids?

“Well, I have a fairly varied classroom in many situations, I have had to raise my voice, but

they manage themselves with songs that end in being quiet”

5. Does your job offer everything you need to perform your tasks?

“No, honestly no, I need a projector, they are very visual and they are at an age where

everything is perceived through the visual, and that also helps them control themselves and

learning is different, so the learning is complemented with a video of the topic we are looking

at, then obviously I lack of a projector. And I use my computer and I would like the school to

provide it to me because it could be stolen or damaged and it is a bit annoying because I don't

have that in my circle.”

6. Does your salary satisfy your needs and wants?

“No, not at all it's a wonderful career but it is as many say, it is a vocation, but in our country,

it is very poorly paid, and there are schools that, although they are private, do not pay the

3
employee very well and in reality one is more for the shirt and because the work environment

is nice, but not for the salary.”

7. What type of things that happened in your job motivated you to get ahead?

“I see in them how they come out, how they enter, and how they leave at the end of the year,

and you say “I have achieved this, they have learned to read and write”. What was difficult

for them at first. Also the support of parents, the school, and certain facilities that one may

have to give more in the recreational and material sense, so that it is provided and we can do

these things.”

8. How do you feel seeing the performance of your students?

“ I feel satisfied seeing their progress, how later they recognize me, in what I have been able

to sow and not only academically, but sentimentally and one says that maybe they don't

remember us but they do say "she was my teacher to such a degree."

9. What are your biggest stressful factors?

Deliver the documentation on time, the plans that have to be delivered and sometimes, for

example, it has to be delivered between weekdays and during the week I don't have time and

I can't do those activities due to time, but they have to be completed anyway.

Our Plan:

Our plan is for teachers to collect points for themselves, how would they do this? through

events that would be held weekly in which the development of the children in each area is

approved and if good development is seen in a subject, the teacher of that subject will have a

point, they will do this every week of the month and In the last week they will count the

points they have and there will be a winner each month, they will have a diploma, which

would help their self-approval, satisfaction from doing things well and motivate them to

continue doing them well, there will also be a bonus in their salary, just for that month.

Those who do not win in the month will have the motivation to win the next and thus the

teachers will improve their performance, the children will evolve in learning, and in addition,

the teachers will be more motivated. Besides, whoever has won the most prizes throughout

the year will have recognition at an event, they will also have a bonus of a considerable

number and to top it all off, the kindergarten children will make a play for the winner and all

the children will make cards at home and give them to the winner and they will get a special
9
pin. All this so that they can feel more and more motivated and those who do not win want to

follow the example of the winners to improve in their work, by this plan.
