Seminar Report Guidelines
1. ARRANGEMENT OF CONTENTS:
The sequence in which the report material is to be arranged and bound should be as follows:
01. Front Page
02. Certificate (Certificate to Acknowledgement should have Roman Numbers i,ii,iii,….)
03. Table of Contents (Page No. 1,2,3,…. should start from abstract)
04. List of Tables
05. List of Figures
06. Acknowledgement (Acknowledgement should be included in your words)
07. Abstract
08. Chapters
09. Conclusion
10. References
2. BINDING:
Seminar report should be printed on A4 size page & should be spiral binded.
(Front Cover – Transparent sheet, Back Cover- Blue sheet)
3. TYPING INSTRUCTIONS:
One and a half line spacing should be used for typing the general text. The general text shall
be justified and typed in the Font style ‘Times New Roman’ and Font size 12.
Subheading shall be typed in the Font style ‘Times New Roman’ with bold letters and Font
size shall be 12.
Heading shall be typed in the Font style ‘Times New Roman’ with bold letters and Font size
shall be 14.
4. FORMATS:
4.1 Cover Page– A specimen copy of the cover page of the report is given in attachment.
4.2 Certificate – A specimen copy of the certificate is given in attachment.
4.2 Acknowledgement- Acknowledgement has to be prepared by the students in a single page
along with their signature.
4.3 Abstract – Abstract should be one page synopsis, it should summarize the aims,
conclusions and implications of the topic of report, typed with double line Spacing, Font
Style Times New Roman and Font Size 12.
4.4 Table of Contents – The table of contents should list all material following it as well as
any material, which precedes it along with Page Numbers.
4.5 Chapters – The chapters may be broadly divided into 3 parts (i) Introductory chapter i.e.
developing the main theme of the topic (ii) Literature review (iii) Summary or
Conclusions. The main text will be divided into several chapters and each chapter may be
further divided into several divisions and sub-divisions.
- Each chapter should be given an appropriate title.
- Tables and figures in a chapter should be placed in the immediate vicinity of the
reference where they are cited.
4.6 List of References
Every student is required to prepare minimum 02 Copies of the report. Report must
contain minimum number of 40 pages.
