SOP for PDIS SPOT Admission for the session 2023-24

All unfilled male seats of various reserved categories of previous rounds are converted to
Unreserved Male Seats and all unfilled female seats of various reserved categories of previous
rounds are converted to Unreserved Female Seats. The unfilled Female seats shall be
dereserved to unfilled male seats after first 2days of Spot Admission i.e. after 17. 08.2023.

Activity dateline:

 Registration of fresh candidates: 16.08.2023 to 19.08.2023 upto 02:00 PM for Govt.

 OTP based Tagging, Document Verification, Error Correction, Allotment of Seats on merit
basis and admission of eligible applicants at the respective institutions on daily basis –
16.08.2023 to 19.08.2023 upto 02:00 PM for Govt.

 Reporting of candidates, preparation of merit list & admission of eligible applicants on


merit - 16.08.2023 to 19.08.2023 from 02:00 PM to 07:00 PM everyday.

 Error Correction : Necessary corrections as per valid documents, if any, are to be done by
the institution in tagging page prior to preparation of merit list and allotment of seats for
admission.

 Candidates are advised to carry their mobile with the SIM registered on SAMS Portal to
complete the OTP based tagging process.

 Every day, after closure of admission at 8PM, all the tagged applications shall be
automatically untagged.

 Candidates shall report in person and produce all relevant original documents at the time of
document verification.

Applicants to be considered for SPOT Admission:

1. Fresh eligible registered applicants;


2. Registered but not filled choices in the earlier phase;
3. Filled choices but not allotted a seat in the earlier phase;
4. Allotted but not reported in the earlier phase;
5. Reported and Taken TC (Issue of TC to any admitted candidate is subject to submission
of written consent by the applicant only).

Getting Started for SPOT Admission – for Institute:

 Open your browser, type the URL: www.samsodisha.gov.in and select the “Post Diploma
Industrial Safety” available under “Skill Development & Tech Education” from the
screen.
 Then, click on the “e-Space” link to open the login page.
 Provide institution username and password to login.
Steps for “SPOT Tagging”

 Select “Admission” from the left menu bar.


 Then, click on the “SPOT Tagging” link to open the CAF tagging page to tag CAFs.

 Type the Barcode number in the given box and then click on “Show” button then,
underneath screen will be displayed.

 An OTP will be sent to the particular student’s registered mobile number. The In-charge
person needs to ask the candidate to provide that OTP and then type the OTP at the given
place and click on Submit button. then, underneath screen will be displayed.

 Necessary correction may be made at Institution level before tagging the CAF.
 By clicking on the “Tag Applicant” button, the tagging part of application is now
completed. Print of the CAF can be taken by clicking on the barcode number displayed
at “View” screen.
 All tagged CAFs can be viewed under “View” Tab.

 If required, then necessary correction may also be made by clicking on “Edit” at View
Tab.
 Now, click on “SPOT Admission Update” link under Admission to see the tagged
applicant as per below screen

 For admission, click on “Take Admission” link from left menu. Before clicking on the
“Take Admission” button, the concerned authority needs to verify the online CAF with
supporting documents for correctness.
 By clicking on “Take Admission” button admission process is completed for the
candidate only.
 After successful admission, all records will be displayed at admission register.
 Institutes are required to verify the CAF data meticulously before tagging it and need to
complete the each day’s SPOT admission by 07.00 pm every day.
 For the above activities, Tagging and admission updation will be done in the SAMS e-
Space by the institutes on daily basis.

Steps for “Spot Admission” Govt. Institutions

 By clicking on the “Spot Admission (PDIS)” link, following links will be


available

o Admission Update

 All valid tagged applicant will be displayed under “SPOT Admission”


menu. Selection of the merit list of applicants will be done purely mark
basis.

 For admission, click on “Admission Update” link from left menu. Before
clicking on the “Take Admission” button, the concerned authority needs
to verify the online CAF with supporting documents for correctness.

 By clicking on “Take Admission” button admission process is completed


for this candidate only.

 After successful admission by the institution, student’s data will be


reflected in the admission register for further use of institute.

Steps for “SPOT Admission” PVT & Autonomous Institutions

 By clicking on “Tag Applicant” button admission process is completed for


this candidate only.

 After successful admission by the institution, student’s data will be


reflected in the admission register for further use of institute.
