A. Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs.

Based on the given problem with regards to Luis’ supervisor, the supervisor must assess
oh how much they needed Luis. Considering Luis as a good employee, the supervisor must
look unto how Luis works that meets the standard of the company. Also, the supervisor must
regard Luis’ contributions for their company, and therefore he must give security for Luis,
especially on his salary. Furthermore, the supervisor must consider how trustworthy Luis as an
employer is, in return, he must also establish good relationship with him. Also, the supervisor
must give respect for Luis’ decisions and that will lead him to gain his respect also. The
supervisor must also give understanding on the situation that concerns Luis, with this, the
supervisor must seek for more effective plans that will assess their problem. Moreover, the
supervisor must maintain balance on their company and losing a trustworthy employer will
make a big shake on the company’s form, therefore, the supervisor must be willing to keep
Luis by means of sufficiently meeting Luis’ needed income even just by letting him work for
overtime. Also, the supervisor must look onto how Luis plays an important role for the growth
of the company and the supervisor must dredge up to the experiences that he and Luis has
shared for the success of the company with this he must be willing to consider meeting Luis’
enough salary by means of letting him either have a promotion or work for overtime.
On the other hand, Luis has enough to support his family but that was before he found out
that his wife is expecting a new child, therefore, Luis must reconsider his needs. Firstly, his
and his family’s biological and physiological needs. He needs to support his family so he must
give importance on the ways to fulfill his plan of achieving a shelter, vehicle and income that
meet the sufficiency for his family, he must make sure that there will be enough food and other
important things that will suffice them. The next one will be his assessment on his safety needs,
wherein, he must find ways to reassure that there will be no problem for his family after having
the third child, that he must make sure that he will have a job that will supply them adequately,
he needs to secure his family by means of assuring that there will be no fear of shortage and
insufficiency in their family. Moreover, he must strengthen his interpersonal relationship with
his family, he must give assurance that intimacy, trust, love or belongingness is strong in his
family.
Furthermore, Luis must assess his Esteem Needs, where he must plan ways for his family
to gain their respect as well as his respect for himself by means of fulfilling his goal for his
family. Also, Luis must further widen his cognition, he must explore and seek for more
knowledge that will help him support his family. Next will be the setting of his Aesthetic needs
where he must maintain equilibrium on his family by means of doing his best to support his
family and making his family happy, contented and satisfied. Luis, also, must give importance
on his self-growth, he must explore his capabilities of being more and even better, he must
learn to understand that he can be someone that is a better version of himself in which, this will
lead him to seek for better job that will help him meet his goal for his family. And lastly, Luis
must consider his life experiences that led him to be a better person, he must be motivated by
himself surpassing his capabilities within his experiences and be something he can’t even
believe he is for his family.
B. Kohlberg Moral Development
Moral Development helped me shape myself with the proper behavior that I must
possess as a student in my daily interactions with our virtual classes, examinations, activities
and assignments. Moral Development taught me to be respectful towards my teachers and
classmates as well as to be obedient of the rules that the school or my teachers established, with
this I am able to maintain my deeds to be acceptable for my teachers and classmates.
Furthermore, it helped me to be more cautious and alert in avoiding the wrong deeds or things
that will lead me to punishment and focus on the things where I will be able to get rewards
such as reviewing before the exams, listening to my teacher’s discussions and being respectful
to them. Moral Development also helped me to stay disciplined in times of discussions and
fulfilling the tasks that my teacher give.
In addition, Moral Development taught me that respecting others will make me gain
their respect also, in terms on my classes, my respect towards my teachers and classmates
helped me gain their respect towards me also. What is more, Moral Development helped me to
assess myself in terms of my morality towards the tasks that I am dealing, being polite and
responsible in performing my activities or school works, being patient and kind on the difficult
requirements as a student and being respectful to the teacher who give me the requirements
that I must perform. Moral Development helped me to work hard for the betterment of my
behaviors, especially, the good ones that will help me gain the positive outcomes which are
being approved by the authorities.
Moreover, Moral Development taught me that bad behaviors do not provide positive
outcomes in school, which is why in every instance I must properly perform with good deeds
and behaviors. Moral Development also taught me to be a good student, it helped me develop
my activities by showing good motives and care to my classmates such as providing help
whenever I am capable to, showing concerns to them as well as my teachers, maintaining a
good relationship between us, and being respectful towards them. Shaped as a student who
values morality in doing school works, in times of examinations and even in virtual classes,
because of the teachings that I have acquired from Moral Development. Also, I have learned
that every individual has the right to express their opinions, and as a student, I respect every
opinion that my classmates share with me, as well as my teachers. And most importantly, being
a student, Moral Development shaped me to be more effective in scaling between the good and
bad things or deeds. With these teachings that I have gained from Moral Development, it
formed me to be the person I am now as a student which is approved by the higher authority
and as a student who values relationship with others.
C. Kurt Lewin’s Change Theory.
Taking Nursing as my course is always been my first choice as a preparation for the
real choice that I want to attain. Of course, there is always some changes that I am dealing, for
some instances, I just want to get rid of the bad things that hinder the achievement of my goals.
As a nursing student, at the first times that I experience difficulties, there are negativities that
came to my mind, I thought of shifting and not continuing nursing, this led me to be down on
my feelings towards the subject because of the difficult and massive number of requirements.
But then, I did my best to change those thoughts.
I redirected myself to think more of the positive outcomes whenever I face those
requirements, whenever I face those trial, I always think of the new knowledge and experiences
that I will gain that will help me to achieve my goal, that will help me to be more expert
someday with my career. I just disregard the negativities that are pulling me down. With that
change of direction, it helped me to change my behavior and feelings towards being a nursing
student. I love my course more than ever, I love how I deal with the requirements, I love how
I listen to the discussions, I love how I participate in class and I love how I behave towards
every school tasks. And now, my new habit is to prioritize the priorities of my dream course.
Furthermore, as a student nurse, changes in this pandemic brought a real difficulty for
me. At first, I am disappointed because of the new way of teaching-learning process and also
on the new way of living. It is so different from the way we had to learn and live. I thought I
will not learn enough, I will not experience a lot. However, as time passes by, I have realized
that, this way of learning and living is teaching me to be more independent and focused. By
that, I strived to disregard the reality of the process of learning and I just steadied on the positive
sides, the positive results. I focused more on my studies and tried new things and strategies on
how to learn more. Whenever I face difficulty, I just ask help from God and he will always be
there catching me. I established plans of trying new ways and strategies to learn more in this
pandemic, I look forward onto the positive results that I will gain because of the new learnings
that I am attaining in this situation. I am now more independent and focused and blessed by the
people who surround me.
