@ Revertex Provisional Data Reversol P-92 PR DESCRIPTION Reversol P-92 PR is a orange pigmented Reversol P-92 specially formulated from a neopentyl glycol/ isophthalic base resin. It is resilient and heat resistant, and can be polished to a high gloss. For mould construction, Reversol P-92 PR should be controlled at 0.8 — 1.2mm wet film thickness. As a guide, approximately 600 — 800g/m2 of geleoat mixture will give the required thickness when evenly applied. Stirring should be done by hand, or with a low shear mixer to avoid aeration. It should be allowed to stand to regain thixotropy before using. Methyl Ethyl Ketone Peroxide (MEKP), for example Butanox M-S0, at 1-2% dosage is recommended for used in tropical condition. In order to obtain optimum life span of mould constructed using Reversol P-92 PR, it is recommended to do post curing at 50°C for 30 hours or at ambient condition for | - 2 weeks * FRP composite mould Ref; TDS-RP92PRIOL06 PROVISIONAL SPECIFICA’ Appearance Orange, free from bits. 11000 — 23500 Viscosity @ 25°C, cps - Brookfield, #5/10 Thixotropic Index, 25°C 5.86.5 - RVT #5, 1 & 10 rpm Geltime @ 25°C, minutes 10-14 = 100g geleoat + 4ml 0.4% cobalt actoate + 5g styrene + 2 ml MEKP) TYPICAL PROPERTI Non-Volatile, % 64 - 69 Acid Value, mgKOH/g 16 solid resin Specific Gravity 112 UNSATURATED toi Property" Value _| Test Method Tensile Strength, MPa 64 BS-2782 — 320C Tensile Modulus, MPa 3800 | BS-2782-320C Elongation at Break %, 2.0 | BS-2782-320C Water Absorption 24 hr at 23°C, mg 17 BS-2782 — 430A Deflection Temperature (under load 1.80 MPa), °C 83 BS-2782 — 121A Barcol hardness (model GYZJ 934-1) 46 BS-2782— 1001 (# Curing schedule was 24 hours at 20°C followed by 3 hours at 80°C except for Deflection Temperature where schedule was 24 hours 20°C followed by 5 hours 80°C and 3 hours at 120°C) STORAGE : To ensure maximum stability and maintain optimum resin properties, Reversol P-92 PR should be stored in close containers maintained below 32°C and away from heat sources and sunlight. All storage should conform to local fire and building, codes. Drums should be stored away from all sources of flame or combustion. Inventory should be maintained at minimum reasonable stock level on first-in-first-out basis. When properly stored, Reversol P-92 PR will remain stable for 3 months from date of delivery. WARNING : Care must be taken to avoid direct mixing of any organic peroxide with metal soaps (e.g. cobalt octoate), amines or any other polymerisation accelerators or promoters, as violent
