LESSON

Task assigning happens during the planning stage. It is important that each
member know their specific tasks for a good performance and productivity of
the group. Among these positions are copywriter and designer, and their
partnership is crucial during the production of the web project.

The copywriter’s task is to check the errors in the ICT content. He/she will
follow this process (Gabest, 2018):

website.

According to American Writers & Artists Institute, copywriter is responsible

for writing the text used to persuade or motivate people to take some action
or response. Copywriting is defined as a process of persuasive writing for
marketing and promotional materials.

On the other hand, web designer refers to person who decides and creates the
aesthetic portion of the website and its usability. The web designer focuses on
what the exterior and the interior design of the website, what ambiance it
shares to the target audience, and what is the website usability interface.
For the success and effectiveness of the ICT project, a copywriter and a
designer must work together to produce a message. To develop a successful
partnership, they must start with three C’s: communication, collaboration,
and concept (UCreative, nd.).

a. Communication
It is a process of sharing and
exchanging of thoughts and
ideas. Designers and copywriters
must have a constant and
regular communication specially
to achieve end goal of your web
project.

b. Collaboration
Defined by Cambridge English Dictionary, it is a situation wherein two or
more people working together to create or achieve the same thing. During the
designing, one or more designs were developed. From these designs, the
project supervisor will use these designs to choose the definitive design that
will be produced in the project. The web designers and copywriters must start
collaborating at this stage. Copywriter must start writing the content draft, so
that the web designers get a feel for what they are working around.

c. Concept
The designer and the copywriter must get on the same page through
continuous communication and collaboration to create a concept that
achieves the goal of your ICT project.

ACTIVITIES

I. Directions: Conceptualize and draw your ideal design for your ICT
project/campaign website. The design must contain the 5 essential parts of a
website discussed in from Collaborative Development of ICT Content (Part I)
module, and 2 multimedia content. Use a separate short bond paper/s to
draw your design and for writing the details of your design. You may use any
drawing or coloring materials.
