Assemble the Fabric E rectangle, the Sew Happy Block, three Fabric D rectangles, the Uppercase S Block, two Fabric G
rectangles, the Lowercase E Block, the Lowercase W Block, the Fabric F rectangle and the Fabric A rectangle.
#Sew Row should measure 7 ½” x 26 ½”.

Make one.

Assemble five Fabric G rectangles, the Uppercase H Block, five Fabric D rectangles, the Lowercase A Block, two Lowercase P
Blocks, the Lowercase Y Block, the Exclamation Point Block and the Fabric H square.
Happy! Row should measure 7 ½” x 26 ½”.

Make one.

Assemble the #Sew Row, the Fabric I strip, the Happy! Row, the Fabric C rectangle, two Fabric B rectangles and the Sewing
Machine Block.
Quilt Center should measure 15 ½” x 39 ½”.

BORDERS:
Attach top and bottom inner borders using the Fabric K strips. Attach side inner borders using the Fabric J strips.
Attach top and bottom middle borders using the Fabric M strips. Attach side middle borders using the Fabric L strips.
Attach top and bottom outer borders using the Fabric O strips. Attach side outer borders using the Fabric N strips.

FINISHING:
Quilt as desired.

Attach buttons to the sewing machine. Refer to quilt on the cover for button placement and color.

Attach Fabric P ric rac to the sides of the quilt using a ⅛” seam allowance.
Attach Fabric Q ric rac to the top and bottom of the quilt using a ⅛” seam allowance.
Clip ric rac so the unfinished ends are even with the outside edge of the quilt and will be encased inside the binding.

Bind as desired with the Fabric R strips.

Background A 4 - 1 ¾” squares 4 - 3” squares

Pink Print C 4 - 1 ¾” squares 4 - 3” squares

Green Print D 8 - 1 ¾” squares 8 - 3” squares

Red Print E 4 - 1 ½” x 3” rectangles 4 - 2 ½” x 5 ½” rectangles

Yellow Print F 1 - 1 ½” square 1 - 2 ½” square

PIECING INSTRUCTIONS:
Assemble Unit. Assemble Block.
Partial Corner Unit should measure 3” x 3” (5 ½” x 5 ½”). Sew Happy Block should measure 6 ½” x 6 ½” (12 ½” x 12 ½”).

Make four.

Draw a diagonal line on the wrong side of the FabricB
squares.
Make one.
With right sides facing, layer a Fabric B square on the top right
corner of a Partial Corner Unit.
Stitch on the drawn line and trim ¼” away from the seam.

Repeat on the bottom left corner.


Corner Unit should measure 3” x 3” (5 ½” x 5 ½”).

Make four.
