IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS
1. Candidates are to report at the centre as per specified Date and Time. Request for change
of centre, date and shift will not be entertained.
2. Indian Coast Guard reserves the right to cancel the examination at a particular centre due to
administrative/Technical reasons even after issue of e-admit card and the Candidate will be
directed to report at the examination centre on rescheduled date. Indian Coast Guard will not
bear the transportation/boarding and lodging charges on account of change of examination
centre or examination date.
3. The candidates are to produce following at the entrance gate of the examination centre,
failing which their candidature will be cancelled and they will not be allowed to enter the
examination premises.
4. Candidate has to produce following original documents while appearing for Stage II/III of the
Recruitment Procedure during document verification: -
Note:-
(i) The date of issue of all documents is to be on or prior to the closing date of online
application i.e 09 Feb 23
(iii) The common reasons for rejection in documents during verification are placed at Encl III.

5. The Candidate will be subjected to basic documentation check at gate, such as biometric,
photograph & signature identification check, PSB and document verification in sequence. The
candidate will not be allowed to appear in the next test of Recruitment process if he/she fails in
stage II.
6. Candidates should note that their admission to the examination will be purely
provisional based on the information given by them in the Application Form. This will be subject
to verification of all the eligibility conditions by Indian Coast Guard. The mere fact that an Admit
Card has been issued to a candidate, will not imply that his/her candidature has been finally
cleared by Indian Coast Guard or that entries made by the candidate in his/her application for
the Preliminary Examination have been accepted by Indian Coast Guard as true and correct.
Candidates may note that the Indian Coast Guard takes up the verification of eligibility
conditions of a candidate, with reference to original documents, only after the candidate has
qualified for the Stage II to Stage V. Unless the candidate is formally confirmed by the
Indian Coast Guard in service after verification of documents from the respective boards/
universities, his candidature continues to be provisional. The decision of the Indian Coast
Guard as to the eligibility or otherwise of a candidate for admission to the Examination/Board of
Recruitment process shall be final.
7. Any phone, watch or other electronic devices are not allowed inside the examination
centre. Any infringement of these instructions shall lead to cancellation of candidature and entail
disciplinary action including ban from future examination.
1. Name of candidate in the e-admit card/ application is not as per 10th Certificate/Marksheet,
12th Certificate/Marksheet, Diploma Certificate/Marksheet, Graduation Certificate/Marksheet,
photo ID card (as mentioned in E-admit card), SC/ST/OBC/EWS Certificate and any other
certificate uploaded in application.
2. Date of Birth of candidate in the e-admit card/ application is not as per 10th
Certificate/Marksheet, 12th Certificate/Marksheet, Diploma Certificate/Marksheet, Graduation
Certificate/Marksheet, photo ID card (as mentioned in E-admit card), SC/ST/OBC/EWS
Certificate and any other certificate uploaded in application.
3. Parents Name of candidate in the e-admit card/ application is not as per 10th
Certificate/Marksheet, 12th Certificate/Marksheet, Diploma Certificate/Marksheet, Graduation
Certificate/Marksheet, photo ID card, SC/ST/OBC/EWS Certificate and any other certificate
uploaded in application.
6. OBC (non-creamy layer) certificate not as per Central Govt. format for appointment in Govt.
of India.
8. Wrong Category (SC/ ST/ OBC (non-creamy layer)/ EWS/ UR) mentioned in application
form by the candidate and not duly supported with documents.
9. The marks for each subject and the aggregate percentage mentioned in the application not
matching with the supporting documents submitted by the candidates. Thereby, leading to false
information in the application form. False information in application leads to cancellation of
candidature.
10. Photograph in the application form does not match with the candidate.
11. Signature in the application/ e-admit card does not match at the time of written
examination at designated exam Centre.
13. Not in possession of original valid proof of identity such as passport or driving license or
Aadhar card or Voter I-Card or PAN Card as submitted in application during various stages of
recruitment.
14. Not meeting the age criteria as mentioned in the advertisement for the said post.

17. Mismatch in the Candidate’s name, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name, Date of Birth, photo
ID number in the photo ID card and the details as submitted in online application.
18. The documents uploaded in online application are not correct or uploaded incorrectly. For
example uploading 10th class pass certificate in place of uploading 12th class pass certificate.
19. The 12th class pass certificate number not matching with the details submitted in online
application.
20. Any mismatch in information as provided in online application and supporting documents.
22. Any other discrepancy/ mismatch in Certificates and information in application form.
24. Any criteria not meeting as per the advertisement of Asst Comdt -01/2024 batch.
25. For candidates with B.Sc/ B.A Honours degree, the qualifying percentage in graduation
has to be calculated as aggregate in all the subjects of all the years/ semesters and not only in
Hons/ Main subject.
26. The date of issue of all uploaded documents (SC/ ST/ OBC-NCL/ EWS) has to be on or
before the closing date of online application i. e. 09 Feb 2023 and should be valid atleast till 06
Oct 2023.
28. Candidates who are studying in the final year/ semester degree course and are yet to pass
the final year degree examination should not have any backlog and should have secured a
minimum of 60% marks up to the second last semester/ year for which results have been
declared up to the time of submission of application.
29. Character Certificate should not be with date of issue older than six month from the date of
submission during stage-II. It should be signed by any Gazetted Officer/Village
Pradhan/Principal of School.
