Chess Mechanics
I. QUALIFICATION
1. The participants must be a bona fide student of MATS College of Technology enrolled under
Aviation Courses during the 2nd semester of the academic year 2022-2023.
2. Each team must select one (1) representative for Men category and also one representative for
Female category.
II. MECHANICS:
1. The game is based on normal or standard chess; however, it is time limited for only 10 minutes with
0 increment.
2. The game will officially start if the white-side player clicks the chess timer.
3. A “win game” will give a participant 1 point, a “draw game” is 0.5 point, and “loss game” is scored
0.
4. The game will be done through bracketing from Preliminary up to the Championship.
III. CHAMPIONSHIP
Note: In case of tie between 2 and 3, a tie-breaker game will be done to determine the qualified player for the
championship game.

VS. A player who gains first two WINS will be
the winner.
