List of tables:
There are several techniques to theoretically calculate voltages and currents in electric circuits,
this report will discuss two of the most important and quick techniques to calculate voltage and
currents and it also will explain how to use breadboard, resistors, DMM and power suppliers to
measure voltages and currents and how to measure them by simulation using Multisim.
Nodal Analysis is the first theoretical technique; it is a mathematical method used to solve node
voltages with respect to the GND using KCL by creating node equations.
The second technique is Mesh circuit technique (also known as loop current method); it is used
to solve complex Circuit problems which the current flowing through the circuit is calculated
using KVL.
Theory
Nodal Analysis formula: formula used to determine the drop of voltages in each
node in the circuit.

Mesh circuit technique: The formula used to determine each current intensity in
the circuit.
𝑉𝑎 − 𝑉𝑏 − 𝑉𝑐 = 0
𝑉𝑎 = 𝑅𝑎𝐼𝑎
𝑉𝑐 = 𝑅𝑐(𝐼𝑐 − 𝐼𝑏)
𝑉𝑏 = 𝑅𝑏(𝐼𝑏 − 𝐼𝑎)

Conclusion
After the currents and voltages have been measured in the lab using DMM, by
calculations using node and mesh analysis and by simulation using Multisim and
comparing all these methods with each other it was observed that all the results
were almost identical, the easiest part of the experiment was drawing and
running the circuit by simulation and the hardest part was connecting the circuit
to VCC.
