Director
CUIC POLICY 2022-23

Registration Process:

CUIC will be creating a google drive, specific to every organization participating in the
recruitment process. The link to the drive will be shared to the respective PRs. The PRs
in turn will share with their respective classmates. The students are expected to complete
the registration process within the stipulated date.
The eligibility conditions in terms of branch / CGPA are defined by the company. The
students are strictly advised not to register for the company, if their branch is not included
by the company.
Normally, the Google link is shared two weeks before the scheduled test date. In case, a
particular branch is eligible and the link is not shared to the respective PR, the PR may
contact CUIC.

Recruitment Process:
a. Normally, the test will be conducted in the evening (online or CUIC / MIT).
Depending on the company’s requirement the test may be scheduled on
Saturdays or morning sessions as well. Some companies could have multiple
rounds.
b. The list of students clearing the test will be intimated to the respective PRs through
email or Whatsapp. The PRs in turn will share with their respective classmates.
c. The interviews are normally conducted from 9.00 a.m. onwards @ CUIC or online
as specified by the company.
d. The Pre-Placement Talk (PPT) is likely to be scheduled just before the test or
interview. The students are advised to take the PPT also seriously and also
advised to go through the website of the company. There could be GD or / and
multiple interviews as well.
e. If the same company offers two different job profiles, the online test is likely to be
common for both the profiles. However, the interview dates will be different for
different profiles.
CUIC Policy on acceptance of offer:

Every student is eligible to participate in all the recruitment process for which her / his
branch is stipulated by the company. However, once the student gets shortlisted by the
company (after completing the final round of interview), the student is forbidden from
attending any recruitment process that follows.
There is only one exception:
1. If the student is placed in an IT Services company which offers an annual salary
less than Rs.5.00 LPA, he / she is eligible to sit for subsequent placement
processes till he / she secures an offer of his / her choice.
The following are the companies that offer IT services based jobs: TCS / Cognizant
/ Infosys / Accenture / HCL / Capgemini / Mindtree / L&T Infotech / Mphasis
2. In the event of selection by the IT Product / Core companies (2nd offer specified
above), by default, the IT Services offer will be withdrawn and the same will be
communicated to the respective IT companies.
3. In the event of two companies announcing their results on the same day and a
particular student being shortlisted by both the companies, the student will have
to accept the offer which is first received by CUIC (decided by email timestamp),
independent of the salary offered.

Rules for Summer Internship & PPO (Pre-final year UG Students):

Most of the companies offering summer internship extend Pre-Placement Offer (PPO)
based on their performance during the internship. In the registration form of each
company (beginning of the recruitment process), you will be asked to spell out your choice
about the acceptance of the PPO. Your choice will be communicated to the company as
well. If you had said ‘Yes’ for PPO, you cannot reject the PPO offer from the company.

It may be noted that the summer internship will be during summer 2023 and the PPO will
be announced at the end of the same. Once the student receives the PPO, he / she will
not be allowed to sit for subsequent placements during the academic year 2023-24.
