FS 1 Episode 10, 11
FS 1 Episode 10, 11
ANALYZE
There is no such thing as best method because there is no single method that dictates
what is the best, knowing that every teacher has their unique approaches, has their own choice of
preferences, and has different environment that vary from one teacher to another. Thus, they are
free to use what is applicable and effective method they think they can give their best to the
learners to learn and fit to where they belong.
REFLECT
I can select an appropriate strategy for my lessons by first checking the curriculum guide,
then the lesson objectives so that I will be guided to the things that I am going to do. I will also
do brainstorming of what fits best to my learners and prepare the materials needed for my lesson
so that I can use an appropriate strategy and deliver well my lesson.
10.2. OBSERVE
1. Yes, the teachers state the learning objectives before the formal lesson and let the learners read
it. They also give their learners a perspective of what they are going to do in the whole duration
of the session.
2. For example, the learning objective is to correctly solve the Quadratic Formula using POH
SHEN LOH. The teacher first gave an example, then, let the learners try it individually. After
which, the teacher let them answer in pairs which really helped the teacher as well as the learners
to achieve the goal. It makes it easier to the teacher as well the learners because after the teacher
teaches, the learners also teach one another that helps them to have a deeper understanding of the
concept and correctly solve it.
3. The assessment task that the teacher gave was an activity sheet where it has a set of equations
and learners will solve it individually and this is aligned to the lesson objective. In this way, the
learners were able to master the concept and the teacher attained the lesson objective.
ANALYZE
Outcome-Based Teaching and Learning (OBTL) is one of the guiding principles of the
teachers to constructively align everything in the lesson from the objectives until the assessment.
This helps the teachers to easily identify and evaluate the results of learning of his or her
learners. This means that the higher the scores that the learners have attained the deeper
understanding they have in a lesson. It does not only focus on the teaching process but also
highlighted the process of learning process of the learners.
REFLECT
Outcome-Based Teaching and Learning (OBTL) has a greater impact in the teaching and
learning of the teachers and learners, respectively. This ensures that everything must be
constructively aligned to come up with a good result in the assessment of the learners. Lastly, I
have realized that as a future teacher, my goal is to let my learners learn from me and I will learn
from them. There must always be an exchange of ideas for a good interaction inside the
classroom that also helps to achieve the lesson objectives.
10.3 OBSERVE
Types of Question Examples of Questions that the Resource Teacher Asked
1. How many islands does Philippines have? (Remembering)
2. Are you in favor with banning same sex marriage or not? Defend your
answer. (Evaluating)
a. Did your classmate deliver his speech well? (Evaluating)
b. Why do you think that living a healthy life is important? (Evaluating)
c. What are the similarities and differences of natural resources and human
resources? (Analyzing)
d. Can you show me how to create a calendar in your Microsoft Excel?
(Applying)
e. What are your weaknesses as a learner? How can you turn your
weaknesses into your strengths? (Analyzing)
3. What do you feel after you have read the story of Beowolf?
(Understanding)
ANALYZE
Every question asked to the learners has something to do with the type of questions that
teachers are asking and the questioning and reacting techniques that they employ. The way that
the teachers answer the questions will leave a mark to the learners and may be only for a short-
term memory or for long-term memory. The teachers should always encourage their learners to
pose a question to clear the minds and understand the concept deeper. Teachers must answer it
wholeheartedly and with no reservations. Learners sent by their parents/ guardians to school to
learn and so it is the teachers’ duty to impart their knowledge to the learners and make them
understand and learn the things around them.
REFLECT
The importance of using various reacting techniques are to encourage every learner to
take part on the learning process without any hesitations and they will be motivated to actively
participate because they know that they are being appreciated and praised. These techniques
make the classroom interactive because they can freely express themselves without judgment. It
also helps to easily attain the learning objectives and maximize the time spent because there will
be no dead airs and learners will continue to ask questions that plays inside their minds and once
it will be answered by the teacher, they can have a clearer understanding of the concepts taught
to them. They will leave the classroom with no question marks but with a periods.

The available learning resources helped the teacher to deliver the lesson in the easiest and
convenient way because though it requires time to prepare other LRC but still worth it
knowing that no learners are left behind as they were able to learn easily with the use of it.
Other LRC must be upgraded to keep the information given to the learners updated and may
be the school must add other LRC to constantly develop and produce brilliant learners.
ANALYZE
1. Yes, the learning resources were arranged properly because it is being sorted of how it is
used and how often it can be used. It has a certain area which it can be easily located.
2. Yes, the guidelines and procedures facilitate easy access to the teachers because they
were already oriented of what are the things that should be as they use it and they have
enough knowledge to manipulate every material that they use. There were also certain
guidelines and procedures attached in every area for them to be reminded of the things
they must do.
3. The strengths of these Learning Resource Center, it develops the learning of the learner,
support what they already have, and deepen their knowledge and understanding about a
certain topic. It makes the teaching-learning process more efficient and effective as well
as interactive. Lastly, it also affects the motivation of the learners, as they try to learn
new concepts and because it is interactive and attractive, it maintains their momentum to
learn.
4. The weaknesses of these are its cost-effectiveness and requires much time to prepare.
5. Learning Resource Centers must be preserved well and so, there must be someone to
clean and check it from time to time if there are problems with it. Additional of shelves is
a must to make it dust-free and well-organized.
REFLECT
1. The materials that caught my interest the most is the computers because the teacher was
able to control all of it for just one click. He was also able to monitor and see what his
learner is doing on the computer. This only proves that he is really an ICT smart.
2. Cellphone and laptop are the gadgets that I am confident to use because it is part of my
everyday life and I like to explore especially sometimes that I am doing nothing.
3. The things that I need to learn more is creating visual aids because I am not that creative
and skillful enough to cut figures and design it.
11.2 OBSERVE
1. The lesson is about blood type
2. Board, Blood Type Box, Projector and monitor, Blood type video, and speaker
3. The teacher discuss the lesson first them have a smooth transition going to the activity part and
using of the instructional material.
4. The response of the learners showed eagerness to learn and attentiveness.
5. They are showing interest just like listening very carefully and nodding their heads as the
teacher explains.

1. I can classify the level of technology integration of the teacher that I have observed in
Entry-Goal-Directed because the technology was used to deepen their understanding
but they were not able to manipulate the ICT. It just served as a guide and support for
the learners whether they are doing it right or not.
2. The learning environment in the class that I have observed is that learners would sit
first then listen to the video and read what is presented then the Blood Type Box will
be rolled and whatever comes on it, the learners will try to answer it with their pair.
After they finished answering, volunteers will answer on the board. The teacher would
process the answer of his learners. There is a minimal interaction between the teacher
and the learners but it can be observed that everyone is willing to learn and listen.
3. I think that the learning resources were effectively used because it reflected to scores of
the learners. This topic is complicated because it requires analyzation but they were
able to manage and learn the concepts of it.
REFLECT
I would do the integration of the ICT and the traditional approach because I believe that
more approaches that will be used will be more effective. I would like the learners manipulate
the technology so they can learn from it and they can use it if they needed it. I would also be very
glad that I am the one who imparted knowledge to them. On the other hand, using too much of it
may defeat the purpose of every learning resources that is why I will just use the most important
and will not consume too much time.
11.3 OBSERVE
1. The lesson is about Medieval Art (Byzantine Art) and the objectives are define Byzantine Art
and create artwork guided by the techniques and styles of Western Classical Art Traditions.
2. The teacher emphasized the details of the artwork from the shown pictures and what are the
reasons behind the design or style of a Byzantine Art.
3. The teacher is developing a visual-learning and creativity because he let his learners see a
picture and they have to do is to create an artwork with a touch of a Byzantine Artwork.

REFLECT
1. I am having hard time as I browse the internet because I have to filter and check
everything that I have searched and consider whether it is useful and applicable to the
topic discussed.
2. I chose the e-resources which best fits to the grade level of the learners and the features
that it offers that can surely help learners to deepen their understanding about the lesson
as well as developing and improving their art, creativity, and imagination skills. In
addition, I would like to explore more on the Open Educational Resources because it
provides free access which is helpful for me to use it as one of my references. Also, I can
recommend it to my learners so they can use it to make their school works become easier.
3. The technology skill that I possess is computer literate and the skills that I want to
develop are web development and computer programming. These are the things that I
think can really help me to utilize more on the Education 4.0. Once that I posses these
skills, I can be able to easily manipulate the technology.

ANALYZE
1.
Edx
Edx Organization
To provide a quality online courses to the learners all throughout the world
The content outline of Edx is to educate the viewers, change the mindset, and learn and
gather information from wide variety of lessons.
I picked this MOOC because it provides a lot of videos that can give a lesson to each viewer
and I can be able to learn a lot of things that I can apply as I teach and touch the lives of my
learners in the future.
2.
DepEd Tambayan
DepEd
To provide a quality education and to maintain the welfare of the Filipino learners
The content outline of DepEd has different outlines for every Grade level and it was provided
and can be seen in the K-12 Curriculum Guide.
I picked this MOOC because it is a department where everything in the Philippine education
system based their lesson and topic and so it is important for me to have an access so that I
can provide a quality education and meet all the needed requirements as I teach later on.
3.
Rise Above
Nick Vujicic
To value and give importance to the persons with disability.
I picked this because affective domain of the learners is important. Thus, it is a must to instill
values to my future learners to show respect and love especially to those who need it. I want to
enlighten the world that persons with special needs has something to offer to us and they can
make a big impact in changing the views of this world.
REFLECT
1. MOOC can help me in my future career by giving me a lot of free resources and can also
impart new knowledge and skills that I can use to make my class active and as a learner, I
can use these ideas to expand and enlighten other people of the things that made their
minds unclear.
2. I have learned that technology can be “teachnology” because wherever you are, you can
be able to manipulate it and can learn from different people across the world. The
MOOCS provider does not take the technology as bad but they took it as an advantage to
spread information and teach everyone who are willing to learn.
3. I can prepare myself for MOOCS by exploring more of it and try to manipulate. I will
also integrate these things as I study and teach later on. Lastly, loving what I do is the
best thing that I can do to prepare myself in using MOOCS.
3. I have discovered that it is an educational tool which I can be used as a medium to send
my lessons, video recording, meet my learners online, and post assessments and
assignments on the application. This helps me to make my life as a teacher much easier
as I manipulate these applications.
5. The use of graphing calculator in problem solving will help me to easily deliver my
lesson to the learners and let them visualize the things that I am talking about. The
learners can also easily manipulate the word problem because they were able to visualize
already.
