Video Assignment

Assignment Details

 The Video Assignment is worth 20% of the overall grade.


 The due date is Sunday 17 December at 11:00pm Adelaide time (Sunday at
the end of week 10).
 Please see the “Written Assignment – Information” page (on the Assessment tab)
for further information.

Assignment Instructions

 This is an individual assignment. Rules of academic integrity apply.


 For those students repeating Business Law, you are not to resubmit work
of a prior enrolment in Business Law. Your submission must address
different business legal aspects relating to law.
 Your answer must include legal references (relevant cases and/or sections of
Acts).
 You must reference each and every time that you use material from a source,
including direct quotes, paraphrases and even ideas. This includes referencing
course materials.
 You are required to use the APA 7 style of referencing. You should include a
reference list at the end of your assignment, including a list of legal references
you have used.
 You must include the Assignment Feedback document at the end of your answer.
The Feedback sheet is on the last page of this document. Please copy it into your
submission. If you do not include the feedback sheet, your teacher will not
include one for you.

Assignment

You are to make a 5–7-minute video using any form you choose (eg powerpoint is
the easiest but there are other video programs available) which identifies business
law around you in Australia.

TAKE A WALK/ READ A PAPER/ WATCH YOU TUBE


Your presentation is to cover 1-3 business legal aspects relating to law that you
identify from one of the following.

Locations you can use


- Coffee shop (for example are there government signs)
- Where you work (for example work health & safety/policies and procedures)
- Cinema or Theatre (for example what does the ticket say)
- (if you have somewhere specific you want to use that is not listed contact Anna
Mazzocchetti for approval)

The Video Assignment will be assessed on the following (unequally weighted)

ii) Ability to research and use key relevant sources, including relevant publications,
cases and legislation to identify the relevant law.
iii) Communicates ideas in a clear and logical way
iv) Overall quality of presentation, including visual aesthetics, formatting, structure, effort
and attention to detail
v) Referencing compliant with APA 7 including a reference list on your final slide.
