1) Improved Access to Market

Title: Hybrid National Trade fair


Venue: SM Megamall, Mandaluyong City, Metro Manila
Date: August 23-27, 2023

Ten (10) W&H MSMEs participated the Hybrid National Trade Fair on August 22-27, 2023 at the MegaTrade
Halls, SM Megamall B, Mandaluyong City, Metro Manila. Said MSMEs were able to showcase sustainable,
green, and eco-friendly materials and products.

Title: Entrepreneurship Seminar for the Furniture Makers


Venue: Vigan City
Date: August 10, 2023

The entrepreneurship Seminar was conducted for the ten (10) furniture makers of Ilocos Sur before the
awarding of the Livelihood Recovery Kits. The activity aimed to provide additional knowledge on
entrepreneurship and ensure that these beneficiaries will be able to sustain and improve operation of their

Other Activities
DTI Region 1 received Php 1.04M budget for the Collective Mark Development Program for the
Handloom Woven Products of Ilocos Region

The project proposal authored by DTI Region 1 entitled "Ilocos Region Handloom Weaving Collective Mark
Development Program" worth PhP 1,004,080.00 for the 2023 Innovation Grants has received approval from the
National Innovation Council – Executive Technical Board (NIC-ETB) on August 11, 2023. This project aims to
benefit thirteen (13) loomweaving groups from Ilocos Sur, Ilocos Norte and La Union. The Orientation for
Implementing Entities/ Recipients of FY 2023 Innovation Grants was conducted by NEDA together with the
twenty-five (25) grant recipients from various government agencies and academe.
