CHAPTER 1
INTRODUCTION TO TOPIC

Vibgyor Advisors is a first-generation firm focusing on financial


services.
It works across various segments of financial services and
provides a wide range of services to its esteemed clients. It
advises individuals as well as corporate on their various
requirements with a client centric approach.

endeavor to be detailed in our work speaks volumes about our
focused approach. We have a knack for providing solutions that
are valuable and of enduring and sustainable nature, besides
being of the highest quality to the client. Seeking client delight
is our natural instinct.”

About the internship


VIBGYOR ADVISORS are in the financial offerings field of
distribution, funding advisory, fairness studies, corporate finance
and consultancy, and funding banking.

Their internship program allows interns to engage in investment
banking-related work, work on capital markets' associated tasks,
and look at fairness markets and analytics.
We intend to survey the business potential of financial services
(predominantly loans, insurance and wealth management) in the
various cities to plan our expansion. To achieve this, we would
want the interns to do a market survey and on-board channel
partners to help us understand the level of business in those
markets. We are looking for Business development Interns for
1. on boarding our potential channel partners onto our platform
and
2. capturing direct clients for the business.

The role of Business development Interns is dynamic,


challenging and varied. It requires an individual to go out and
meet the potential channel partners/clients and explain the value
proposition. It would help develop a complete knowledge of
banking and insurance industry, besides developing the
individual on the management side traits. Besides, the data
analysis posts the survey is likely to throw up interesting
conclusions on the penetration and use of the financial services
in the region. The project requires the person to be flexible in
their approach to daily tasks and requires both a high level of
Customer Service and Administrative skills.
Working as part of a small team reporting to a Team Leader, the
role provides the opportunity to develop a high level of
knowledge of insurance and the banking industry, as well as an
understanding of project-based work.

• Researching and developing marketing opportunities and


plans, understanding
• consumer requirements, identifying market trends, and
suggesting system
• improvements to achieve the company's marketing goals.
• Gathering, investigating, and summarizing market data
and trends to draft reports.
• Implementing new sales plans and advertising.
• Recruiting, training, scheduling, coaching, and managing
marketing and sales teams
• to meet sales and marketing human resource objectives.
• Maintaining relationships with important clients by
making regular visits,
• understanding their needs, and anticipating new
marketing opportunities.

IMPORTANCE

• An internship can provide us the soft skills needed in the


workplace and in leadership positions.
• It helps to Learn how a professional workplace operates.
• We can learn a lot about out strengths and weaknesses
during an internship.

● Duration: 2-3 months

● Process: Entrance Test


● Location: WFH (Depending on the situation of the
intern’s location)

ELIGIBILITY
• Students should have a Master's or Bachelor's degree in any
discipline, though preferably Business Administration.
• Requires an aggregate of 50% or above from any
authorized organization. Only applicants who are available
to work at an in-office internship will be considered.
• The two tracks of the internship begin on 12 August 19 and
11 September 19 and last for 6 months. Women looking to
begin or restart their careers may also apply.

graduate from JBIMS, Mumbai, and a mechanical engineer from
VJTI, Mumbai. He has about 24 years of experience in equity
markets and has worked as Analyst, Head of research, Fund
manager and has been instrumental in running business segments
for some of the leading companies in the industry.

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

Research methodology is the specific procedures or techniques

topic. In a research paper, the methodology section allows the
reader to critically evaluate a study’s overall validity and
reliability. Methodology is the systematic, theoretical analysis
of the methods applied to a field of study. It comprises the
theoretical analysis of the body of methods and principles
associated with a branch of knowledge. Typically, it
encompasses concepts such as paradigm, theoretical model,
phases and quantitative or qualitative techniques.
A methodology does not set out to provide solutions - it is,
therefore, not the same thing as a method. Instead, it offers the
theoretical underpinning for understanding which method, set
of methods or so called “best practices” can be applied to
specific case, for example, to calculate a specific result.
It has been defined also as follows:
1. "the analysis of the principles of methods, rules, and
postulates employed by a discipline"

RESEARCH DESIGN
The research design is purely and simply the framework of plan
for a study that guides the collection and analysis of data. Types
of Research Design:
• Exploratory Research – The main purpose of such studies is
that of formulating a problem for more precise investigation
or of developing the working hypotheses from an
operational point of view.
• Descriptive Research – Those studies which are concerned
with describing the characteristics of a particular individual,
or of a group.
• Hypothesis Testing Research – They are those where the
researchers test the hypotheses of casual relationships
between variables.

SCOPE OF THE STUDY


This study helps me to know about the functions carried out by
the company and also helps me to know more about the
workings of industry like insurances, investments and much
more.
OBJECTIVES OF THE RESEARCH
• To study about the insurances, include vehicle and health
insurance.
• To study about the investment banking
• To study about the loans.

DATA COLLECTION

Data was collected from web sites, going through the records of
the organization, etc. It is the data which has been collected by
individual or someone else for the purpose of other than those of
our particular research study. Or in other words we can say that it
is the secondary data which is used previously for the analysis and
the results are undertaken for the next process.

LEARNINGS FROM THE STUDY


• As major part of internship was spent as Zonal in charge
so I learned the managerial qualities such as leadership
and how to get the work done by motivating the
subordinates.

• Also , I learned how to mentor the students and motivate


them as well to perform better.

• Most importantly , it also improved communication skills


and how to work in professional manner.

• The loan process should not be lengthy.


• To some extent a clear picture of the required candidate
should be made in order to search for appropriate candidates.

SUGGESTIONS TO THE STUDY


• Communication, personal and technical skills need to be
tested for employees.
• More potential tools should be used to increase the range of
potential customers.
• The organization should also focus a bit more on
advertising in order to promote and increase the range of
potential customers.

LIMITATIONS TO THE STUDY

• I couldn’t get the enough practical knowledge.


• Done this in a short period of time.
• Another issue that was faced that it was a work from home
so it lacked interaction which could have been better in an
offline model .
