PROGRAM PROPOSAL
TITLE: School Learning Action Cell (SLAC) on Blended and Flipped
Instruction: Covid-19 Alternative Teaching Modality
Cum Demonstration Teaching
Rationale: This School Year face-to-face instruction is strictly prohibited for it
can rapidly transmit the virus from one person to another. For
this reason, the Academic Department would like to conduct a
School Learning Action Cell (SLAC) ON Blended and Flipped
Instruction: Covid-19 Alternative Teaching Modality cum
Demonstration teaching on February 23, 2022.
Objectives of the Training: In this SLAC, the teachers are expected to develop the following
competencies
a. Understand the blended and flipped learning;
b. Identify and integrate the roles of the teachers in blended
and flipped learning;
c. Select appropriate pedagogies applicable to blended and
flipped instruction; and
d. Design, demonstrate and critique education plans relevant
to the needs of the learners.
Strategies: To carry-on with the objectives, the following modes will be observed
during the conduct of this SLAC:
o Face-To-Face discussion with the Speaker; and
o Demonstration Teaching.
Curriculum/Topics: This SLAC is deemed to discuss thoroughly the following relevant
topics:
o Blended Learning; and
o Flipped Instruction.
Materials Needed: The following materials will be needed in the SLAC proper:
o Personal Laptop; and
o Projector and White Screen.
Expected Participants: The participants of this SLAC are:
o 9 Teacher-Participants from JHS Academic Department
Date/s and Venue: This SLAC will be done on February 23, 2021 in SBM Office, Pangdan
National High School, Barangay Pangdan, Catbalogan City
Budget Proposal: NONE
