01 Windows installation inspect prerequisites for Windows 10 installation

1. Processor: 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster.
2. RAM: 1 gigabyte (GB) (32-bit) or 2 GB (64-bit)
3. Free hard disk space: 16 GB.
4. Graphics card: Microsoft DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM driver.
5. A Microsoft account and Internet access.

02 Perform clean installation.

clean installation of Windows 10 is the process of erasing


the hardware and setting up a new fresh copy of the
platform when a computer has a problem. For example, you
can resolve performance, memory, startup, shut down, and
apps issues using this method. Also, it's perhaps the best
approach to remove viruses and other types of malware, and
it can help to improve battery life.
To do a clean installation of Windows 10, use these steps:
1. Start the PC with Windows 10 USB media.
2. On prompt, press any key to boot from the USB flash drive.
3. On the "Windows Setup," click the Next button. ...
4. Click the Install now button.

03 Upgrade to windows 10
Windows 7 is no longer supported, so you better upgrade, sharpish... For those still using
Windows 7, the deadline to upgrade from it has passed; it's now an unsupported operating
system. So unless you want to leave your laptop or PC open to bugs, faults and cyber
attacks, you best upgrade it, sharpish.
OR in windows7 there is no data security and in Windows10 data security is
available

If your desktop is having windows7 Operating System then upgrade from win7 to
win10 select Upgrade then click on next

Repairing a Windows partition on a dual-boot PC


1. Start with a PC that has Windows installed on its hard drive.
2. Install a separate hard drive or prepare a separate partition that you'll use for
another Windows installation.
3. Install the new operating system on the hard drive or partition you configured
in the previous step. For example, if your PC has Windows 10, install Windows
11 onto the other hard drive or partition.
4. Reboot the PC. The boot menus should appear with both operating systems
listed.

05 Practice on recovery partition.


Recovery partition is a portion of your disk drive that is set aside by the manufacturer to hold
an image of your system before it was shipped from the factory. Recovery partition
contains the files of system backup image and files that guide system restoration.
06 Practice 10 registry tweaks

The Windows Registry is a hierarchical database that stores low-level settings for
the Microsoft Windows operating system and for applications that opt to use the registry.
The kernel, device drivers, services, Security Accounts Manager, and user interfaces can all
use the registry. The registry also allows access to counters for profiling system
performance.

07 Practice disk management utilities


To open Disk Management, right-click (or long-press) the Start button and select Disk
