IIT Patna CET Moodle: Student Usage Flow

 Step‐1: Navigate to https://cet.iitp.ac.in/moodle. Once the page load, click on “Log in” on top right corner.

 Step‐2: Once the page loads, click on “Sign in with Microsoft” on the right and user your allocated IIT Patna
e‐Mail login credentials to log in to the IIT Patna Moodle site.

 Step‐3: Following logging in, click on the “Dropdown on the Top Right Corner” and then click “Profile”.

 Step‐4: Once the “Profile Page” loads, click on “Edit Profile”.

 Step‐5: Once the “Edit Profile” page loads, scroll down the page and complete the fields which are blank
under the tabs: Optional, Program Details, and Personal Details. DON’T CHANGE THE DATA ALREADY
ENTERED, ONLY COMPLETE THE BLANK FIELDS. Once you have completed filling the blank fields, click on
“Update Profile”.

 Step‐6: Once you have completed updating your profile, click on “My Courses” to view your registered
courses for Semester‐I.

 Step‐7: Following clicking “My Courses”, registered courses would be available to access.

 Step‐8: Once on the “My Courses” page, click on any of your registered courses (CSDA Students: CDA 101,
CDA 103, CDA 105, CDA 107 and BBA Students: BMC101, BMC112, BMC113, BMC114, BMC115). For every
course, 7 tabs would be available: (i.) Course Information: for accessing course related announcements; (ii.)
Course Syllabus: for accessing course syllabus; (iii.) Attendance: for accessing attendance records; (iv.)
Assessment: for accessing assignment/exams/quiz; (v.) Learning Resource (Books): for accessing course
books; (vi.) Learning Resource (Lectures): for accessing links to join online class; (vii.) Learning Resource
(Lecture Slides): for accessing lecture slides.

 Step‐9: Accessing Course Information: click on “Course Information” and then on “Announcements” to
view any course related announcements. An example has been shown herewith for reference.

 Step‐10: Accessing Course Syllabus: click on “Course Syllabus” and then on “Course Syllabus” to view
course syllabus. An example has been shown herewith for reference.

 Step‐11: Accessing Attendance: click on “Attendance” and then on “Lecture/Tutorial/Workshop Sessions”
to view attendance records. An example has been shown herewith for reference.

 Step‐12: Accessing Assessment: click on “Assessment: Assignment/Exams/Quiz” and any “Exams/Quiz” to


attempt and “Assignments” to submit would be available if populated by course instructor.

 Step‐13: Accessing Books: click on “Learning Resource: Books” and applicable books would be accessible.
An example has been shown herewith for reference.

 Step‐13: Accessing Online Lectures: click on “Learning Resource: Lectures” to view lecture rooms. For
accessing live online lectures, click on the lecture rooms as per the applicable day & time. Following
clicking the lecture room, click on “Join Session” to join the room. An example has been shown herewith
for reference.

 Step‐13: Accessing Lecture Slides: click on “Learning Resource: Lecture Slides” to access.

 Step‐14: Accessing Grades: click on “Grades” under course to access the grades obtained for assessments.

 Step‐15: Accessing Course Participants: click on “Participants” under course to access course instructor
and course student list.

 Step‐16: To send/ask query to course instructor, click on “Chatbox” on top right corner. Once the Chatbox
loads, search your instructor name in “Search Box” to send your query and/or ask question.
