INTRODUCTION

Work Immersion is a mandatory activity in

the K-12 Curriculum that Senior High School students must

comply before graduating In having this, trainees are required to

fulfill the 80 hours duration allotted to their respective workplace

The offices they will enter may defer from the course they wanted.

The learning will be added and they can learn new things as

well. Their colleagues in the office will guide and teach them every

single detail to make the work easy and could only get less mistakes

Work immersion enhances the trainee capability to do such things

that becomes an advantage in their future career.

Also, trainees are expected to follow some rules and

regulations in the office. They need act like a real employee. Indeed,

this will be their remarkable training ground in bringing out the best

they cabin the future.

SIGNIFICANT LEARNING EXPERIENCES

The 80-hour school-based work immersion it was a great


experience because it teach me how to be a geat leader. Most of all it
teach me what is my mistake that I need to improve to be a great
leader.

Establishing Goals and Expectations

At the beginning of the immersion, I collaborated with the


supervising teacher to establish clear goals and expectations. We
discussed the importance of supporting student learning, fostering a
positive classroom environment, and assisting with administrative
tasks. This initial stage allowed me to understand the teacher's role
in the senior high school department and set the foundation for my
learning experience.

Assisting in Classroom Activities

Assisting the teacher is a hard specially when the student


don’t listen. But is a fun job because I feel like I was a teacher and
some of the student respect me like I am a teacher.

Collaborating with the teacher and students

Working with the teacher and students fostered a collaborative


environment. I engaged in discussions with the teacher, seeking
guidance and feedback to enhance my understanding of teaching
strategies. I also built relationships with the students, offering
support and encouragement as they navigated their educational
journey. Through these interactions, I learned the significance of
effective communication, empathy, and adaptability in creating a
conducive learning environment.

Problem-Solving and Adaptability

Assisting a teacher in the senior high school is a bit hard but


sometimes its not really hard.cheking the students output is a bit
hard specially the enumeration .and because of the promlem it help
me to think clear even there are many promlem

Reflection and Personal Growth

Regular reflection and self-assessment were key components


of my school-based work immersion. Engaging in reflective practices
allowed me to improve my skill and with the help of immersion I can
see what is my weakness and where I am good.

It’s a little bit hard to me because some of the student don’t


listen to me. But I was thankful that I experience that because of
that I can develop my skill as a leader

Immersion - The act of immersing or the state of being immerse.

School-Based Work Immersion- The school-based work immersion

is an educational program where students work in real-world

settings to apply their knowledge and skills. It complements

classroom learning by providing hands-on experiences in a

professional environment.

Immersant - The trainee.

Daily Time Record - The records of working time being spent.

Ratings – The classification of the immersant based on a

comparative assessment of their quality, standard, or performance.

PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED

During the 80 hours of home-based work immersion there were

some

problems I encountered:

⚫Having a hard time understanding the handwriting of the students

while checking their outputs.

⚫leading the students

RECOMMENDATION

Based on the problems encountered during the school-based

work immersion, the following are highly recommended.

The trainee recommends to approach the mentor for

assistance..

The trainee recommend to focus more on your time

management if you have other things to do. Think if which one is

important the immersion or the thing you need or want to do.

Throughout the school-based work immersion program, the


Grade 12 student actively participated in various work-related
activities and tasks. This immersive experience allowed them to
witness firsthand the practical application of their classroom
learning in a professional setting. By working alongside
professionals, the student gained valuable insights into their chosen
field, including industry practices, challenges, and opportunities.

The work immersion experience enabled the student to


develop a range of skills essential for success in their future career.
They acquired effective communication skills, learned to work
collaboratively in a team, and honed their problem-solving abilities.
The student also gained a deeper understanding of workplace
dynamics, including time management, adaptability, and
professionalism. These experiences contributed to their personal
growth and instilled a sense of responsibility and accountability.

Completing a school-based work immersion program has


provided the Grade 12 student with a transformative experience and

a solid foundation for their future endeavors. Through active


participation in real work environments, they were able to apply
their theoretical knowledge, develop essential skills, and gain

readiness for higher education or the workforce.

The experiences and lessons learned during the work


immersion journey have provided the student with a clearer career
direction, increased self-confidence, and a broader perspective on
their chosen field. By reflecting on their work immersion experience,
Grade 12 students can recognize their achievements, identify areas
for improvement, and make informed decisions about their future
educational and career paths. The completed work immersion
program serves as a stepping stone towards their continued growth
and success.

REFLECTION

School-based work immersion plays a vital role in preparing

students for the transition from education to the professional world.

It offers a hands-on learning experience, enhances skills and

knowledge, fosters career exploration, and contributes to personal

growth and development. It is an invaluable component of education

that equips students with the practical tools and insights necessary

for success in their future endeavors.

Generally, above the short comings of School-Based Work

Immersion, I still work with passion, checking the activities and

performance task of grade 11 and grade 12 students under

Mrs,Trisha P. Tabamo and supervised other students is one of the

best experience but it’s a little bit hard because sometimes they

don’t listen. Still blessed I experience it and to the DepEd

particularly the SHS department of MNHS that let us be once a

trainee at our own school.
