LESSON PLAN

Teacher SOF Date : Sept 23rd 2023

Introduce self, family and friends.

Quite often, I notice that English students learn to introduce themselves in a way
that is scripted and unnatural.
This is a very common task at the beginning of a speaking course. It is something
you Sts can practice at homeor with friends. If they know what to say, they will feel
more relaxed and confident at the start a conversation in english .
Our ESL students may be intimidated just by meeting new people, and it can be
even more daunting to have to introduce themselves in their second language,
English. Many may not know where to start. Let's ease their minds and guide them
through introductions with this fun lesson.
 What do you usually say when you meet someone new?
 How do you introduce yourself or someone?

Key Vocabulary
greeting, introduction, and leave-taking expressions.

Lesson
The main objective is to increase the amount of group/individual pronunciation practice in
classroom (which will enable me to identify in a more specific way each student’s needs and work
on it to enable them develop their listening/speaking skills).
OBJECTIVES: The General objective is to reinforce their speaking and listening skills, to
identify and pronounce correctly the target language and use it in a real life situation.

 Knowledge: The focus in the class is on conversation in order to help improve students’
fluency and confidence when speaking in English as well as boosting their vocabulary.
 Skills: To develop learners’ listening and speaking skills.
L : Identifying the proper vocab in a sentence / conversation
