1 Purpose.

 A building need to be taking established in corrected location as per relevant


regulations.

2 Scope.

 Making actual site level and drawing, placing control point (TBM) and establish
building corners as per approved by relevant authorities.

6 Methodology:

6.1 Horizontal and Vertical Control.

 The subsequent Control Points (4 Nos) were set out by the Surveyor at site by
referring to the already placed GPS Points (4 Nos) and these Control Points are
denoted as TS.02, 9008, 9009 and 9010.
 These 4 Nos of Control points consist with coordinates (Northing & Easting)
and Elevation in teference Mean Sea Level (MSL).
 Every point should be clearly sighted in the place. These traverse points have to
be maintained for a long time.

6.1.1Surveying for horizontal control points.

Before the surveying for datum points, the Surveyor should take a re-check for the
control point provided by employer.

i. Method of horizontal control.

a).Angel Measurement.

 Observation made use of target prism mounted on tripod.

 Two rounds of "face left' & "face right' reading on setting 0, 90,180,270
degrees, would be carried out.

 Maximum difference of the observed angle will allow exceeding 5".

 Correction to be applied for slope distance, instrument constant, temperature


& barometric pressure.

b).Distance Measurement.

 Verify & the EDM/Total station and the stability of control point by making
a check distance from the originating to another knows control station.

 Minimum of 4 reading to each targetwould be taken in both faces. (See


appendix B)

b).Computation.

 Coordinate of all traverses, to establish the Secondary Control points which


were run between initial Control points were done, using the Bowditch
Method for the adjustment of traverse.
 Adjusted Field angle and mean horizontal angle were used for the
calculation of the Azimuth and Coordinates.
 The miscoluser also adjusted by the same software. Print out of the observed
horizontal angle and distance, correction of angle and distance, adjusted
azimuth. Adjusted coordinates and the error summaries were taken and
issued. The adjusted values used as the final values. (See appendix C)
Accuracy of traverse (for secondary control) 1:20000.

6.1.2. Surveying of Vertical Control Points.

To ensure the accuracy of vertical construction, we set up the vertical control network.
Before the built of vertical control point, the survey should take a re-check for the
control point provided by employer, we can used these points only when their error
conforms to specification.

 The Auto level will carry out a two-peg test before survey.

 Back sight and fore sight distances should be kept equal as far as possible.

6.2 Setting out Procedure.

All Structure points will be coordinated from the data of structural drawings and
setting out by the Total station from the well-established secondary and tertiary control
points.
Detailed survey setting out plan will be submitted after finalizing the details related to
Construction Drawings.

6.3 Surveying for Axis Plane and Level of Floors.

Level base point of floor should be laying off correctly to assure accuracy
requirement in vertical control. There should be 3 vertical points in every floor. Error
should not more than 3mm in checking around 3 points and using average value as level
Control base point. Paint a triangle mark with red paint and indicating absolute
elevation and relative level.
Laying off the +1.000 line on the wall and columns, the error should less than 2mm,
painting ink line and indicating level.

6.4 Axis vertical alignment checking.

As reference 4 Nos of sleeve holes will be constructed at designated locations of


the building using 110mm diameter PVC pipes at each floor with same vertical
alignment. These designated locations for with same vertical alignment.

Transfer of control points; setting up the laser aligner at the datum point of first floor
and adjusting it to collimation, then turning on the power switch. Target will be used in
receiving the light beam vertical with this points which sending by laser aligner at the
hole of slab. Center of a light circle in target as the transfer point upward.

Acquisition of point location of laser done as Figure 02 shown below.

6.5 Level Transfer.

Using Level machine can transfer Reference level (ex.1m level from SFL) to lift core
wall and after that using steel measuring tap will be fixed on reference line on wall and
transfer to levels for each upper floor. TBM’s at each floor levels will be installed
during construction stage.

6.6 Checking of Building Line.

After self-check of Horizontal control network and setting out of every story has passed,
surveyor should report to Employer/Consultant to check obtain the consent to proceed
the construction work.

Flowing should be re-checked

 Position of columns and position of core wall.


 Horizontal control network.
 Vertical control network.
 Vertical transfer of control line and closing error.
 Axis of columns and walls, size and location of hole.

7 Health and Safety:


 In accordance with the BML Health and safety guidelines.
