Note: The above performances are based on a primary flow temperature of 85°C and a domestic cold water inlet of
10°C, without the use of a thermostatic mixing valve on the domestic hot water outlet. If the boiler is heated using
the immersion heater, domestic hot water output depends on the heating element fitted.

Langdon Hills, Basildon, Essex.
This refurbishment of the heating and hot water systems for Basildon District Council of a 1960’s housing estate
utilised the existing district heating mains infrastructure together with a selection of 278 SVM TripleTanks.
The design was undertaken by G K Salter & Associates of Swanley, Kent. The installation was carried out by
Interserve FM Ltd.

Hillside Towers, Sheffield.

These apartment blocks were the first in the UK to make use of the superior characteristics of the ACV SVM
TripleTanks in District Heating. This Sheffield City Council financed refurbishment involved the total renovation of
seven 1960’s-built blocks of flats, which involved the installation of 336 SVM 115 TripleTanks. The design was
undertaken by DBS Architects of Sheffield and installed by local contractor Bumford Heating Ltd of Barnsley.

A Modulating Electric Boiler

Boiler temperature with the ETS is controlled by a dual stage thermostat which is set by the user to give the desired boiler
temperature. When the boiler has heated up to within 7°C of the set temperature, the thermostat switches off one power stage and
therefore reduces the heat input.

Thanks to this simple but effective form of modulation, the ETS has longer working cycles and requires less stops and starts, thus
resulting in a more even temperature across the boiler. It also means less wear and tear on components and importantly, it uses less
power once it has reached working temperature.

Heart of Stainless Steel

Prestige 24-32

ACV’s 80 years of experience using stainless steel in heating and hot water production
have led to the development of a new heat exchanger in stainless steel which is at the
heart of the Prestige 24-32.
Since there is no oxidation in the exchanger, the Prestige attains exceptional output
with efficiency remaining constant throughout the life of the boiler.
The Prestige is also self-cleaning – by trickling along the flue gas pipes, the
condensates constantly clean any combustion residues. The boiler continues to 40
38
function at very high output, and maintenance is limited to the routine annual visits.

Domestic Hot Water Requirement?

Prestige boilers can be combined with any
of the ACV range of hot water storage tanks,
in particular the SmartLine range of tanks, to
provide full DHW capabilities. ACV hot water
tanks are ideally suited for use with
condensing boilers because the large heat
exchange area means that the low return
Prestige 47-64-85

temperatures required by the boiler can be

achieved.
