Reading out the fault memory via the retarder stage switch

While the service mode is active i.e. after the ignition was turned ON, v = 0, the flashing code can
be started via the retarder stage switch:

1. Shift into RSS position 0

2. Shift into RSS position 1
3. Shift into RSS position 0
4. Flashing code of first fault is indicated.
5. Repeat step ...3 and following to view further flashing codes.

There is a break of 3 seconds before and after each flashing code during which the retarder pilot
light is OFF.

Display example for fault code 25:

The number of tens is first indicated as long ON intervals: 2 seconds each.

The number of ones is then indicated as short ON intervals: 0.5 seconds each.

Breaks between each ON interval: 1 second each

If a relevant fault is indicated (the retarder pilot light is ON before triggering the flashing code), the
retarder pilot light will switch back to permanent light after the flashing code. 3 sec 3 sec
