Short Manual (ENG) - Azeron Cyborg Clone
Short Manual (ENG) - Azeron Cyborg Clone
Greetings! This is a short instruction on how to assemble a replica of the latest version of the
AZERON keypad. I did not begin to describe the obvious things, I described only some important
nuances. If you are reading this, it means you know how to hold a soldering iron and you know
how to open files in 3d editors.
Be careful, take your time and get a great tool for work and play.
Until the creators of the original have posted an updated version of the firmware,
so 3 buttons will not be used. As soon as it appears on the site, it will be able to
connect them (they promised at the end of September). The firmware works only
on Windows devices, it is possible that this will be fixed in future updates.
М3x10 22pcs.
М3x6 5pcs.
М3x12 6pcs.
Pan head screws:
М3x8 12 pcs.
Instruments:
1. Knife
2. Drill 1.5, 2, 4.2, 2.5мм
3. Soldering iron
4. Solder + flux
5. Diamond files
Before loading all the parts at once for printing, I recommend printing a test part to check the
calibration of your printer. With the correct setting, the micro switches should enter the
grooves with a slight interference. The archive has a TEST folder in it, two sets of files - the
lower and upper parts under the finger. Each spool of plastic has unique characteristics so print
each piece in the color of the plastic you will be using.
If you have a poorly tuned plastic flow, the parts will not be connected without processing with
a file and the micro switches will not be inserted. I put a 0.2mm gap on the joints.
Printing
The assembled model lies in the Assembled folder, it contains, in addition to the printed parts,
also the location of the remaining elements (bolts, controller, micro switches), when
assembling, I recommend checking it. Can be opened in Blender.
Files for printing are sorted into groups, if several copies are required, then at the end of the
file name there is a mark “x2, x3….”
- The Base folder contains the details of the base of the entire structure. They are best printed
from PLA due to their stiffness.
In the middle of the Base plate there is a cavity for washers, they are used as a weight. A
hole must be drilled in each washer to access the reset button on the controller. The red part is
the Base spacer. You can adjust the height of the palm rest for it. The TPU subdirectory
contains the leg files to be printed with non-slip flex.
- The Electronic box folder contains all the parts for the control box and armrest.
I do not use glue and prefer to fasten everything with screw connections, because all the
elements inside are fastened with brackets and clamped with screws.
- The Buttons folder contains all the models of buttons, if possible, then print them on a
photopolymer printer, so they will be much more tactilely pleasant. If you decide to print on
FDM then use a 0.2-0.3 nozzle and a 0.1-0.15 layer. Finally, drill through the holes with a 1.5mm
drill.
- The Towers folder contains thumb rack files. Behind each button there is a protrusion for
sampling the backlash, when you start assembling, gradually grind it with a file and try on the
button fit (yes, the process is long, but then it will be much more pleasant to touch the
buttons). The button should sit with a slight tension.
It is recommended to print all housings with a 0.3 nozzle and a 0.15 layer.
At the end of printing, I recommend going through all the holes for the nuts 4.2 with a drill.
