Performance Objective: By the given task, the student must perform


how to install wooden floor supports and panels

Supplies/Materials : Fabricated door and window jambs assembly ,


Fabricated door panel, flushed (0.8 m x 2.1 m) , Nylon string (10 meters),
Pencil , Loose pin hinges, 4” , Finishing wire nail, 1”, Finishing wire nail, 1½
inches , Finishing wire nail, 3” inches, Common wire nail, 1”, Common wire
nail, 1½ inches, Common wire nail, 2 inches, Pulley, 4”, Nylon rope, 1” dia.,
Bolo

Equipment: Compressor , Paint Mixer with hand drill , Sander/sanding


machine , Scaffold H Frame , Ladder , Railing system , Spray Gun ,
Swivel Gun and Airless Spray

Tools : H-frame scaffolds system and accessories, Portable electric drill


(variable speed), Portable electric planer, Circular saw/jig saw with vacuum
with vacuum

Steps/Procedure:
Door Jamb

1. 1. Estimate and order the materials you need.


2. 2. Prepare the subfloor and fasten asphalt-laminated kraft paper flooring
underlayment to it.
3. 3. Deliver the materials to the site and allow them to acclimate to the room’s
humidity.
4. 4. Layout and mark the placement of flooring.
5. 5. Attach the first flooring row to the subfloor.
6. 6. Cut and fasten successive flooring strips.
7. 7. Rip the final row of flooring and fasten it in place.
8. 8. Sand and finish the floor (unfinished solid flooring only).
