Liquid Trete

Liquid Trete is an accelerator added to zinc phosphate solutions to enhance the coating process. It speeds up coating to under three minutes. Liquid Trete lowers the operating temperature and prevents excessive crystal growth. The document provides instructions on testing concentration and operating levels of Liquid Trete in zinc phosphate solutions.

Material Compatibility
Wash Tank Construction: It is recommended that
the zinc phosphatizing stage, containing Liquid
Trete and the PermaGard product, be constructed
of 304 or 316 stainless steel. Other stages may be
constructed of mild steel depending on relative
chemistry.
