Dear Teachers,
Problem solving is a skill students must practice daily,
in real life situations. With Problem Solving Path, students
connect math topics they are studying in school with real
life situations and places in their community. This journal
is for the first month of the year in 2nd Grade (US) or Year
3 (UK). It is aligned to the US Common Core Curriculum
and the UK National Curriculum. There is a US journal and
a UK journal, print the one that best meets the needs of
your student population.
Once you print this journal for your students, you can
post the questions on the board using my free Problem
Solving Path Posters, and allow students the month to work
through the problems. At the end of the month, review all
of the problems with your students. Score students with
rubric on each page. Record the scores on the front page.
These grades make a great addition to your report card
and/or portfolios.
This is one month of a 10 month program for 2nd Grade
/ Year 3. Find the complete year long program at my
Teachers Pay Teachers store.
