Impact of The Hyksos

The Hyksos were foreign rulers who dominated Lower Egypt during the 15th Dynasty, originating from Palestine. They politically weakened the Egyptian Pharaohs' control over all of Egypt. Economically, the Hyksos established trade relations with Syria-Palestine, Nubia, Crete, and Sinai, introducing crops like olives and pomegranates as well as zebu cattle. Technologically, the Hyksos introduced innovations to Egyptian warfare including horse-drawn chariots, composite bows, stronger metals for weapons, and new armor and helmets.
