In this age group, the three most frequent causes of stress are schoolwork, parents and problems with friends. But isn’t this just part of lite? Very few of us would say we never get stressed. But what does stress mean to you? Is it a piece of work ‘you need to finish for school? Perhaps it's a class you mustn't be late for. If stress was just about deadlines, ‘we would probably be able to keep it under control. However, for most people, i’s bigger than this. And it can be a very big deal. But could we get rid of it from our lives? Do we actually want to? ‘Most of us know the basics of how to handle stress: we should take regular exercise and eat healthily. Sleep is also important. According to some reports, teenagers ‘ought to get over nine hours of sleep every night. But fighting stress needn't be boring. We must also make ‘some time in our schedule for fun, preferably with friends, and also a little quiet time, when we can relax. ‘We should spend time around positive people, who don't get us down. Helping other people can help us {fool less stressed, too, which is why volunteering is a good idea. And if you're getting in a panic, stop what you are doing and take several deep breaths.
