I. Title: GRASSROOTS MORAL RECOVERY PROGRAM THROUGH BIBLICAL VALUES

EDUCATION

II. Introduction: Today, we can see a big change in the moral values of people and this change is
not positive but negative. Lack of family, religious values, and parental control can be described
as the main cause for the decline in moral values among youths today. Degradation of moral
values among the younger generation is an emerging issue. Moral values are the worthy ideals or
principles that one follows to distinguish right from wrong. These ideals or virtues are
considered worthy in building up the character of an individual. Moral values are something that
teaches us good virtues, including honesty, truthfulness, kindness, integrity, helpfulness,
compassion, love, respect for others, hard work, cooperation, forgiveness, etc. The youth are the
future of tomorrow. Moreover, they are the driving force of a nation. But, nowadays youth is
adversely diverted towards different immoral activities. It is crucial to think over these issues
affecting our future generation who is responsible for building a brighter future. The factors
affecting this degradation could be, the influence of nuclear families and materialistic way of
life, breakdown of parental control of children in the families, influence of peer groups, gender
bias, attraction of change or modernization, and influence of mass media. The Grassroots Moral
Recovery Program aims to provide biblical values education to grade six students of Mabatang
Elementary School. The Moral Recovery Program aims to encourage students to internalize their
values with God as the center and maintain honesty and integrity, take positive measures against
moral corruption, and strengthen the moral resources that are rooted in the ideals of Love for
God and people.

It is, therefore, with a full heart that I submit this project proposal (Grassroots Moral Recovery
Program through Biblical Values Education) in dire hope of providing an avenue for young
children for spiritual growth and moral upbringing. Equipped with the proper attitude and
outlook on these values, I wish to help these children to become better people in the future. The
various sessions that will be conducted will help renew their minds and help strengthen their
moral foundation. The program seeks to complement the efforts of the people already weaving
the children’s moral fabric.
III. Program Objectives and Goals: The general objective of this project is to provide basic
biblical education and activities for the children as well as to provide educational materials. The
Moral Recovery Program will primarily aim to inculcate biblical virtues and principles such as
knowing their true value, love for God and people, integrity and accountability; courtesy,
discipline, respect for authority and institutions, and servant leadership.IV. Budget

the students, teachers, and parents. The children should be able to realize the importance of the
activity in building better relationships among their peers, teachers, and parents. The teachers
should be able to see the importance of nurturing their students with values education through
proper guidance. The parents should be able to appreciate the efforts of their children as they
take home with them the lessons they have learned.

VI. Conclusion

We want to create a more sustainable world, with stable economies and more just and inclusive
societies. A difficult but not unattainable target if we can count on the involvement of ordinary
people doing extraordinary things. An exemplary citizen is made, not born. Just as we learn
mathematics and languages, we should also become specialists in those lessons that are
fundamental to living in harmony and social progress such as respect, empathy, equality,
solidarity, and critical thinking. Without these and other ethical principles that define us as
human beings, it will be difficult for us to build a better world. Values education is the
responsibility of us all and not just of schools.
