The Patches in this book are divided into eight categories, with a wide range of uses. You can look in the Table of Contents to get an idea of what Patches interest you, and then turn to that section: If you own a JD-800, you probably enjoy designing sounds—think of this book as a wealth of resources for designing your own Patches. Try entering a Patch, and then make your own variations. With a couple of changes, you can have a totally different sound! To make a TVF cutoff frequency. This is a good starting point for entering data. If you have a RAM card (Roland M-256E), you can start from, one of the initialized Patch locations created upon formatting the card. You can check this by pressing the Layer/Active button in the Patch block. A flashing light means that Tone is active, and a solid light means that Tone is being heard.
