Introduction
A full wave rectifier is a device which
is used to rectify all the a l t e r n a t i n g
current components in an
a l t e r n a t i n g s u p p l y and make it
purely a direct current. The two
a l t e r n a t i n g h a l v e s of an alternation current are
rectified in a full wave rectifier w h i c h i s a n
advantage over a half wave rectifier.
M o s t electronic devices cannot withstand very high
voltage or alternating c u r r e n t d u e t o i t s
intense high power. The use of
b a t t e r i e s in all devices is not practical
a s t h e i r r e p l a c e m e n t a n d d u r a b i l i t y is a huge
problem as the device has to be dismantled each time
for such a replacement. So these rectifiers are used
in most of the Electronic devices like TV’s, Radios,
Chargers, and Lightings etc.
