ADVENTURER CLUB
 March in

We’re Adventurers at home at school at play

We’re Adventurers

We are learning every day

To honest kind and true

To be like Jesus through and through

We’re Adventurers

PRAYER:

WELCOME THE PARENTS/GUARDIANS/ADVENTURES/GUEST TO THE

PROGRAM (MC).

THE DIRECTOR - BRIEF EXPLANATION OF ADVENTURE GOALS

 The Adventurer is the foundation of the youth ministries. To build a house you don’t start
with walls or roof but foundation.
 The church's greatest resource is not the building or money but our children.
 We invest money in the bank, but we train our children we prepare them for eternity.
 Therefore, it is imperative that as a church we meet the challenge to provide a program for
our children during their early, formative years.
 We want right habits, thoughts, motives, dispositions, and attitudes to be established.
 The Wise Man wrote, "Bring up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will
not turn from it" (Prov. 22:6, NIV).
 This is more than a cliché-it is a scientific formula. This is the purpose for developing the
Adventurer Club.
 The Adventurer Club is a Seventh-day Adventist church- sponsored ministry open to all
children ages 4-9, in which the church, home and school join together to help children grow
joyfully in wisdom and stature and in favour with God and man.
 The Adventurer Club is offered to assist parents in making the development of their child
richer and more meaningful.

OBJECTIVES: - INTRUCTOR/TEACHER/DEPUTY DIRECTOR

 To develop a Christ-like character;

 To experience the joy and satisfaction of doing things well;
 To express their love for Jesus in a natural way;
 To learn good sportsmanship and strengthen their ability to get along with others;
 To discover their God-given abilities and to learn how to use them to benefit self and serve
others;
 To discover God's world;
 To improve their understanding of what makes families strong;
 To develop parental support for the training of children.

THE CLUB DIRECTOR

I hereby proclaim the induction ceremony of THE CHOMA CENTRAL ADVENTURER
CLUB to be called to order.
The Director lights the spirit of Adventuring candle while saying; for the light of our program
we now turn to the “Spirit of Adventuring”.
As we turn off the room lights, the candle which I now light represents this spirit, which is
the essence of Adventuring. It is the spirit of achievement, adventure, busily working and
shinning for Jesus; building body and mind, and helping others.
But above all it is the Spirit of Reverence, and the Spirit of Service to GOD and man. But
this light is of itself not complete or sufficient. To introduce the complementary lights I now
call on the assistance of our deputy director(s).
Deputy Director.:-Calling of the Club Members to;

Adventurer classes
Little lambs;
Eager beaver;
Busy bee; A course of study in learning how to be busy working for Jesus
Sun Beam; A course of study in learning how to be courteous and practice
shinning for Jesus every day.
Builder; A course of study in learning how to build Christian characters
and strong beliefs for Jesus
Helping Hand; A course of study in learning how to lend a helping hand in
serving for Jesus at home, school and communities.

1. Pledge Recitation: one lights the candle then;

(All by coming to front and face the church)
 Because Jesus loves me; I will always do my best.

2. Adventurer Law Recitation:

(Select Nine Adventurers to explain the Law)
.
Jesus can help me to…

A. Be obedient: -
I will obey God’s laws and cheerfully do what my parents and teachers ask me to do.
I will obey the laws of my country.

B. Be pure: -
My body is the temple of God, so I want to keep it clean. I will not swear, smoke,
drink alcohol, do drugs, or do any other thing God says is disgusting.

C. Be true –
I will always tell the truth and never try to deceive - even if I may get in trouble for it.

D. Be kind: -
I will look for ways to make other people happy. I will never hurt a person or animal intentionally. I
will share my toys too.

E. Be respectful: -
I will be courteous to those whom God put in authority over me (like parents and
Teachers) and to those who are younger and weaker than me (like little brothers and
Sisters). I will take good care of other people’s property, even something as small as a borrowed
pencil.

F. Be attentive: -
I will listen when someone is talking to me at home, at school, and at church. I will especially listen
for God to tell me what to do with my life.

G. Be helpful: -
I will look for ways to help and not wait to be asked. I can help family at home; teachers and friends
at school, and other people other places. I can even help God.

H. Be cheerful: -
I will not grumble or complain when I don’t get my way or when I have work to do. I will remember
that God made me; God doesn’t make junk, so I’m not junk! Knowing that makes me happy.

I. Be thoughtful: -
I will make courtesy a habit, both in words and actions. I will look for ways to be nice to people. I
will not be rude or irritating.
J. Be reverent: -
I will listen carefully to God, His word, and His messengers. I will take good care of my Bible and
church property. I will never make fun of holy things.

“We hereby declare these candidates to be accepted into the fellowship of the choma central
Adventurer Club of Seventh - day Adventist church.”

THE DIRECTOR:
The leader then asks that parents/ guardians to come forward and stand behind their
Adventurer(s).
Each parent/guardian is given a lighted candle.

The leader reads the challenge to them:

TO PARENTS:-
“The child standing before you needs warmth, security, and love of parent. The Adventurer
Club is here to encourage you in your care of this child but not to take your place. Do you pledge
your participation in fulfilling your child’s pledge of commitment to the Adventurer
Club?”
(Parents Response “Yes we do!”)
““Adventurer Program is created to assist parents, strengthens the parent/child relationship, children
are the greatest resource of the church and as parents you believe that early training of a child will be

Ceremony / Presentation of the Master Guide Ministry

Director:

I declare the ceremony of Initiation of the Master Guide Club of the Church of choma central now in
progress (the director lights the candle and the sanctuary lights fade dimly).

The candle that now is lit represents the Master Guide spirit. This is a spirit of learning, of adventure,
of companionship, of friendship, of physical, mental and spiritual development. It is mainly a spirit of
reverence, a spirit of service to God and to man. This light alone it is not enough or complete, so we
need to call the lights that supplement this light.

(A Master Guide will lit a candle and say a colors that represent the emblems of the Master
Guides Ministry)

RED

This color reminds us of Christ's sacrifice. This is a permanent memory of the innocent blood
spilled by Jesus whom so much loved us. The very well-known scripture verse of Juan. 3:16: “For God
so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not
perish but have everlasting life”. Hebrews 9:26: “If he had offered himself every year, he would have
suffered many times since the creation of the world. But instead, near the end of time He offered
himself once and for all, so that he could be a sacrifice that does away with sin.”

WHITE

This color represents purity. Purity means being undiluted or unmixed with extraneous material, in
other words 100% clean Many have said that the eyes are the windows of the soul. When the peace
of God invades the soul, that person is pure and inspires trust. The text in Revelations 3:5, “Everyone
who wins the victory will wear white clothes. Their names will not be erased from the book of life,
and I will tell my Father and his angels that they are my followers”. In 1Timothy 4:12 “Don't let
anyone make fun of you, just because you are young. Set an example for other followers by what
you say and do, as well as by your love, faith, and purity.” Colossians 3:9 “Do not lie to each other,
since you have taken off your old self with its practices.”

BLUE

This color represents loyalty. A Master Guide maintains a fixed look upon his leader, who is Jesus,
and is always on behalf of justice. The word betrayal doesn't exist in our vocabulary, because we are
loyal to our Master. The text in Jeremiah 42:5: “Then they said to Jeremiah, "May the LORD be a true
and faithful witness against us if we do not act in accordance with everything the LORD your God
sends you to tell us.” Psalms 89:37 “it will be established forever like the moon, the faithful witness
in the sky.” Proverbs 25:13 “Like the coolness of snow at harvest time is a trustworthy messenger to
those who send him; he refreshes the spirit of his masters.”
GOLD

This color represents excellence. The excellence is the grade of perfection reached by a person, or an
institution. In our case, the Christian is urged to come closer to Christ's stature. "Be perfect,
therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect", in the personal life, a Master Guide tries to reach
excellence by observing the laws, constantly remembering to walk with perseverance. The text in
Revelations 3:18, “I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich.”
Philippians 3:8 “What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of
knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish that I
may gain Christ.”

The Director continues

The candle of the spirit of Master Guides is a symbol of good things, of high characters and ideals, it
is a symbol of spiritual development with goals that we have to put as members of the club, that way
our youth and adults will learn more about themselves and more on the part that they will take in the
last events of the history. The Law, Pledge, Motto and Aim will help us to be able to arrive to these
ideals.

NOTE: Salute for the Law and Pledge by placing your right hand over your heart.

LAW

 The Master Guide Law is for me to:

 Keep the Morning Watch,
 Do my honest part,
 Care for my body,
 Keep a level eye,
 Be courteous and obedient,
 Walk softly in the sanctuary,
 Keep a song in my heart,
 Go on God's errands.

PLEDGE

“Loving the Lord Jesus, I promise to take an active part in the work of the Adventist Youth Society,
doing what I can to help others and to finish the work of the gospel in all the world.”

NOTE: Do not salute for the Aim and Motto.

AIM

"The Advent Message to All the World in My Generation."

MOTTO

"The Love of Christ Compels Me."

Have the Area Coordinator or special Guest speak about a challenge theme.

Have a dedication prayer for the leaders and member (Pastor or Elder).

Hymn Number.
