Free Digital Declutter Checklist
Step 1
Decluttering and organizing your digital files might seem like a tall task and be very time-consuming.
But, once you conquer your mountain of files, it will be easier to stay on top of it over time.
Go through all of your folders, files, and cloud storage sites. Click on the file and see what it is.

Documents folder
Desktop
iCloud
Google Drive
Dropbox, Box, OneDrive, etc.
Recently deleted folder
Photos
Trash bin
Step 2
It is likely you already have a number of file management solutions. After decluttering them, come up
with a system for each.
Google Drive
iCloud
I store all my large, heavy video files for YouTube across multiple drives
Google Drive
I have several Gmail accounts, personal and business
I store only collaborative and archived files (that I might want later, but don't need now)
iCloud
Everything else is stored in the Cloud
Backups, digital stickers, photographs, documents, Adobe files, etc.
Step 3
Now that you have decided on the file management solutions you are going to use (or decluttered the
ones you already have), you'll create a hierarchy to organize all of your files. I recommend keeping the
same or similar hierarchy across all solutions for consistency.
Hierarchy ideas that your system can already accomplish: date created, date edited, date added,
type, kind, name, etc.
Step 4
Once you have settled on a hierarchy for your files, it is now time to actually organize your files into
those main, sub, and secondary-sub folders.
Get your files into the right folders and the sub-folders into the right folders
Stickers
I wanted to share more specifics on how I organize my digital stickers since I know many of you might
feel torn on the best solutions to declutter your digital sticker collection.
