Activating Microsite from Web Plugins

• If you wish to activate a stand alone microsite, you can do this via the “Web Plugins” section. All
other steps for activation and personalization will be the same.
• If you plan to use a web plugin with the campaign emails, you must activate it via the Campaign. Web
plugins activated from the Web Plugins area will be entirely stand alone.
• ALL web plugin activation are visible in the “My Web Plugins” area and those connected to a campaign are easily
identified via the small “folder” icon which will link you to the campaign.
• To edit a web plugin connected to a campaign select Web-Plugin with Campaign.

Activating Microsite from Campaign

1. Go to “Campaigns” and select “Browse


Campaigns”

2. Search for the campaign you are looking


for -
ex.: “BI Trends”

3. Click on “Details” to open the campaign


o Notice the little icons showing if the
campaign has an email and a microsite.
The four little squares indicates a microsite
web-plugin is part of the campaign.

Personalization of the Campaign

From the Campaign Dashboard

1. Personalize and save your Web-plugin (slides 7 – 10) - Mandatory


1. No further action required when sent as part of the email campaign
2. Copy the standalone link to share via social or other channels (when used as standalone)
2. Personalize and test your email (slides 11-14) - Optional
3. Schedule your email - Optional
4. Use the web-plugin in social media and other channels

Customize your web plugin (Mandatory)
1. From the Campaign Dashboard, click on your web plugin

2. Then click “edit” to enter the editor

3. Update the Settings to your web plugin.


• Set the web plugin name
• Set Notifications to go to the marketing person in your organization responsible for the
lead follow-up and marketing analysis.
• Click “Save and Next” to save
your changes and continue to
“personalization”

1. There are two main areas in “personalization”
• The microsite visualization – anything outlined in
dotted lines is clickable and editable
• The side bar – this provides additional options.
• Remember to review and edit the
subpages as well. There are three of
these: Asset Form, Asset Confirmation
and Contact Confirmation and
confirmation email

2. Personalize each set of options until you are satisfied with your web plugin.
3. Click “Apply” to apply your changes, and click “Save” to save your changes.
- “View” button brings up a sample web-plugin view (Make sure you clicked “save” first!)
• Note: this is only preview URL and should only be used for testing/preview this is not the final
web URL. The “Embed” section contains the code and stand-along URL. See the next slide

Confirmation email - Personalization

1. Confirmation Email lives within the


event microsite.
• Please provide the sender’s email, name
and subject to activate confirmation email.

2. Personalize each set of options until


you are satisfied with your email.

Tip: The confirmation email will remain dormant if the sender’s email, name and subject fields are empty.

1. From the Campaign Dashboard, click on your email

2. Then click “edit” to enter the editor

3. The editor has four sections. This navigation bar remains visible at all
times in edit mode.

1. Update the Settings to your email.


• You can customize the email name and subject line.
• Sender email, Reply to email & notification email MUST be addresses owned by your
company.

2. Click “Save & Next” to save your changes.

4. Click “Send Test” to sent a test to yourself.


• Make sure you “saved” first!
• If you have not yet customized your web plugin,
this will link to the default web plugin.
• If the test email link does not work (ie: goes
nowhere), you may not have activated the
microsite web plugin as part of the campaign
• DO NOT forward this test email to customers or
prospects.

Emails outside of QPMS
Sending emails with other email systems or clients

1. Use the HTML and OFT email template files attached to the
campaign
• These will require you to personalize the file:
• Logo and company details
• Event details
• Update register button to point to your Microsite link or company webpage where it’s
embedded.

2. Personalize the QPMS emails, then copy and save the HTML
code
• This can be opened in outlook using the “insert as text” option via “Attach Files”

Best Practices - Reminders

• Email
• Recipients & Scheduling – these are used to send the final
email to customers and prospects. You may include
yourself or colleagues in the recipient list.
• The test emails should only be used for testing and should
not be forwarded to customers/prospects.

• Microsite Web Plugins


• Go to the “Embed” section for options on sharing the
microsite
• “Standalone link” can be used with social media or linked to
from emails the you have built outside of QPMS
• Embed code can be used to embed the microsite into your
company website
• The Preview link should only be used for testing and
should not be sent to customers/prospects or embedded

Finding them in QPMS
1. Open the campaign under “My Campaigns”
2. Go to the “Recent Activity” section from the left
hand menu
3. Select “Form Submissions” to see a list of
those who registered
• You can export a list of registrants.
• Click on a name for more information on the
registrant.
• Other views are available as well to track use of other
campaign assets.
• You will receive emails to the address entered during
set up of each registration as well.
