2.2 Modules
The QynetiQ™ Advanced system is a modular system; Modules shipped with the system may vary:
The QynetiQ™ Wall Mount Bracket and the (optional) QynetiQ™ Front-End Bracket need to be
installed first in order to start with the installing of the QynetiQ™ Enterprise system. The CPU rail is
already assembled before shipping.
Make sure there is enough room to fit the mounting plate to the wall and that all pre requirements
as described in the “site requirements” description are met. Due to the weight of this Wall Mount
Bracket it is advised to carry the work with 2 people.
CAUTION!
Make sure the existing construction (wall) can carry the weight up to ~54 kg and use appropriate
mounting hardware for different surfaces! A mounting kit for a concrete structure is included with
the QynetiQ™ Wall Mount.

3.1.1 QynetiQ™ Wall Mount Bracket – Wall Mount (Box 1/2)
1x Polycarbonate Back Plate with rails
6x M8 x 80mm screw
6x M8 rivet
6x 10 mm Nylon Plug
Fig. 1 Fig. 2
Draw dots on the wall with a marker and drill six (6) holes for M8 plug using the 8mm Power Drill
into the wall. Fixate the QynetiQ™ Wall Mount bracket back plate to the wall with the 8mm screws,
plugs and rivets provided.
The QynetiQ™ Front-End Bracket has a unique design to fit with specific brand, and or type of x-ray
vendor. Make sure the QynetiQ™ Front-End bracket model fits the x-ray model as installed in the
room. If there is no possibility to attach a QynetiQ™ Front-End Bracket to a specific X-ray table than
the QynetiQ™ Floor Stand needs to be ordered.
4.1 Components
WARNING!
The nylon bushes are essential for the electrical isolation between the QynetiQ™ Front-End and the
X-Ray system.

The procedure described below is the most common way to perform the installation.
There is one (1) 19” Touch Screen LCD monitor to be mounted in the Monitor Suspension of the X-
Ray system in the (Cardiac) Catheterization Lab. This monitor is the “live” as well as the “control”
monitor and which will display the vital signs of the patient during the examination. Besides the
Mains connection (230V), the Video signal and the RS232 signal, the monitor needs also to be
connected to the central earth reference point of the system.
The central point is situated on the back side of the QynetiQ™ Power Unit, which is situated in the
Generator Room.

5.1 Components
CAUTION!
The monitors used for the QynetiQ™ monitoring systems are all equipped with a VESA mount. Due
to electrical safety, nylon screws are required for the electrical isolation.
5.3.5 Connecting the RS232 signal cable and the UTP converter
Connect cable K3-2 (SSTP Blue) to the RS-232 to UTP converter and connect the converter to the
RS232 port on the backside of the Touch screen LCD monitor.
CAUTION!
Please make sure that all cables which are running from the X-Ray table to the QynetiQ™ Front-End
are run through the hose, which is provided.
If all cables are in place, the hose can be fitted in the cover of the Front-End Mounting Bracket and
secured with a tie-wrap. The tie-wrap can be fitted to the notch as mentioned on figure 6.

After placement of the QynetiQ™ Power Unit on the shelf of the QynetiQ™ Wall Mount Bracket, as
described in paragraph 3.3.2 it is necessary to make the applicable connections.

7.4.2 Connecting the QynetiQ™ CPU and the Peripherals to the QynetiQ™ Power Unit
Connect the Power cables K3-4; K1-6; K1-8 and K5-1 to the mains outputs (2) of the QynetiQ™ Power
Unit.

7.4.3 Connecting the Earth Reference cables to the QynetiQ™ Power Unit
Connect the Earth Reference cables K1-5; K1-7; K3-5; K2-6 and K5-2 to the Central Earth Reference
Point of the QynetiQ™ Power Unit (3).
7.4.4 Connecting the QynetiQ™ Front-end (20V) to the QynetiQ™ Power Unit
Connect the cable K2-5 to port five (5) of the power unit.
The QynetiQ™ products are designed to be upgradeable / down gradable on site to any model of the
QynetiQ™ range.
To make this possible, we use a patch panel (bracket) on the QynetiQ™ Wall Mounting Bracket (see
Figure 6). Above the QynetiQ™ Power Unit there is a bracket where all the SSTP cables come
together. By using this patch bracket you are able to connect different SSTP cables to match the
correct wire diagram. All cables are marked with letters and numbers in the wiring diagrams (see
Figure 19).
Example: K1-5 stands for “Cable kit 1, Cable Number Five (5)”.
There is also a legend in the wiring diagram where you can find the cable number and the type of
cable. Please work always according the wiring diagram, to avoid problems due to patching the
wrong SSTP cables.
Fig.10 Fig. 11
The patch panel is displayed in figure 11. The three (3) UTP key stone couplers (figure 18) need to be
secured in either one of the holes in the patch brackets.
Connect both ends of the two cables in a keystone coupler that you want to connect as mentioned
in the wiring diagram.
