Lower Extremity Skill Sheet

This document provides instructions for evaluating a student's performance of a musculoskeletal examination of the lower extremities, including the hip, knee, ankle, and foot. The evaluation consists of inspection, palpation, assessment of range of motion, and special tests of the lower extremities performed bilaterally. The student must complete or verbalize the critical steps and 80% of the noncritical steps within 15 minutes. Skill Performance Evaluation: Musculoskeletal Examination; Lower Extremity (Hip, Knee, Ankle, Foot)

Directions: You will have 15 minutes to complete the skill*. All critical (C) steps and 80% of the noncritical steps
