Ethics of Online Classes
Ethics of Online Classes
GIFT University provides the online interactive environment that demands formal written and oral
communication. Please follow the following etiquettes and protocols to ensure that the intended
message is delivered and received correctly.
● Unregistered / unenrolled students are not allowed to enter in the online class.
● Every participant must ensure TIMELY PRESENCE at the time of class to avoid any
inconvenience or delay in the lecture.
● The participant should mention COMPLETE NAME on all online Accounts of Zoom,
Google Classroom, and other prescribed accounts for his/her valid identification.
● Please show RESPECT to others with whom a participant is interacting during online
classes.
● Do not talk over each other. Participants should ask for the floor using an electronic request.
"Raise Hand" is the best digital option that functions as the best way to say without
interruption.
● TEST your Speaker, Mic Audio, Camera, and internet Connection before start of the class.
When is given the floor to participate, he/she is required to unmute the microphone and
start speaking. Upon completion of comments, mute the microphone again, and if desired,
turn off the camera.
● Participants who have the floor are requested to keep their comments short so that everyone
has a chance to speak.
Note: Disruption of online classes in any manner and violation of the above code of ethics will
be considered a major academic offense and will lead to a strict disciplinary action against the
student(s) involved which may result in expulsion from the University.
