will Identify Parts of the Body

What should I do?
Target Vocabulary. This lesson covers words:
Vocabulary: a cold / come back / examine / headache / runny nose / sore throat / stay home from work /
take it easy / take your temperature / terrible / the flu /…
Watch: I want to make sure I understand. That’s right.
Speak: earache / stay in bed / stomachache
Materials: whiteboard and markers, computers and electronic board, pictures & worksheets. Students’
mobile phones app.

Get ready Activity 1: Write the name of the lesson on the board: At the Doctor. Introduce the topic
of the lesson and the objectives. In this lesson, you are going to describe common
health problems, clarify instructions, and role-play conversation with a doctor.
Activity 2: Students do a short activity that introduces the lesson topic and start
introducing relevant vocabulary and concepts through a short activity.
Ex. Look at the picture & answer which questions do you think doctors ask the patients?
Ex. After that, what do your doctor ask you when you are sick?
Vocabulary. Vocabulary Activities 3-4: Teach key vocabulary to prepare students for watching the
video. The wordlist appears on the top of the lesson. Ex.3 Students practice
pronouncing and recording new vocabulary. Ex.4 Students practice the new vocabulary
through a series of activities.
Ex.3. Learn the key vocabulary of this lesson then match the sentences
Ex.4. Learn more vocabulary from this lesson & complete the conversation.

Watch Watch Activities 5-8: Have the students watch videos of people visiting the doctor and
check their comprehension through a series of activities. Students practice the new
vocabulary through a series of activities.
Ex.5 Watch the first part of the video. Discuss the questions.
Ex.6 Watch the 2nd part of the video. Discuss the questions.
Ex.7 Complete the conversations then watch and check.
Ex.8 Watch again and answer the questions.

Speak Speak Activity 9: Have students role-play a visit to the doctor. Students practice taking
part in conversations and record themselves.
Ex. 9 Practice the conversation in pairs. Then change the words in color and role-play
the conversation. Use the ideas given
Review Review Game Activity 10: Play a team game to review the lesson.
