BACKGROUND:
Project I CARE (Inculcation of Character and Rapport towards Excellence) is a transformative
initiative dedicated to fostering a positive and supportive learning environment at Don Antonio Bongolan
Memorial High School. This innovative project focuses on instilling good character traits and promoting
mental wellness among both students and teachers. By emphasizing the importance of empathy, integrity, and
resilience, Project I CARE aims to create a school culture that not only enhances academic excellence but also
nurtures the holistic well-being of the entire school community. In a strategic partnership with the Parent-
Teacher Association (PTA) and collaboration with the School Governance Council, this initiative becomes a
collective effort to cultivate an atmosphere that encourages personal growth, positive relationships, and a
commitment to excellence in education. Through the joint commitment of all stakeholders, Project I CARE
strives to empower learners and educators alike, fostering an environment conducive to academic achievement
and emotional well-being.

OBJECTIVE/S:
The project aims to support the implementation of SGC Projects which is to instill and reinforce good
character traits among students, fostering qualities such as empathy, integrity, and resilience. Secondly, it
seeks to promote mental wellness by implementing initiatives that prioritize the emotional and psychological
health of both learners and teachers. This includes workshops, counseling support, and awareness campaigns
focused on mental health. Lastly, in close partnership with the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) and
collaboration with the School Governance Council, the project aims to create a synergistic approach to school
development, ensuring that all stakeholders actively contribute to the cultivation of an environment that
prioritizes character development and mental well-being. Through these objectives, Project I CARE strives to
create a holistic educational experience that goes beyond academic success, nurturing the overall growth and
happiness of the school community.

MAIN ACTIVITIES:
The main activities to be conducted for this project are:
a. Assist the PTA in conducting regualr character-building workshops and seminars that empahsize
values such as empathy, integrity, and resilence. These sessions aim o instill a strong ethical foundation in
students and create a harmonious school community.
b. Support/collaborate with the PTA relatve t mental wellness prgrams, including counseling services
and awareness campaigns, are integrated into the schol’s routine to address the emotional and psychological
well-being of both students and teachers.

EXPECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
The project aims to accomplish the following:
a. The SGC has collaborated with the Parents and Teachers Association in implementing different
activities to heightened awareness and understanding of values such as empathy, integrity, and resilence
among students. Also to witness a tangible improvement in the overall ethical conduct of students, as they
internalize and apply these values in their daily lives.
b. The SGC supported and collaborated with the PTA on mental wellness programs, including
counseling services and awareness campaigns that were expected increase in awareness and understanding of
mental health issues within the school community. Likewise to create an environment where individuals feel
comfortable seeking help wheen needed, ultimately contributing to a more resilient and supportive school
community.

INDICATORS OF ACHIEVEMENT:
The following scenarios indicate the achievement of the objectives:
a. The SGC has supported the PTA in establishing partnerships with stakeholders to increase in the
number of students attending and engaging in these sessions reflects a positive response and interest in values
inculcation.
b. The SGC joined/participated in the General PTA Assembly to conduct regular assessment of
student behavior and interactions within the school. Positive changes n behavior, such as increased empathy,
integrity, and resilence, can be indicative of the effectiveness of the character-building intiatives.
