GRANDMA
Ohh how time flies by and I still
to this day regret my major. I
never enjoyed a day in my work ever
till retirement.
R
Why grandma?
GRANDMA
What I wanted to major in took less
grades than mine and I felt bad for
wasting my grades so I chose
something that took higher grades
to make use of my grades and to
have a higher seen major.
3.
R
Would you choose differently if you
went back in time?
GRANDMA
NO! My entire family was proud of
me and also it was a more noble
profession. People looked at me
with higher respect.
The family kept talking but R spaced out in her own thoughts

you by the Culinary Institute of
America at Hyde Park in NYC. We

the world and offer them a full
scholarship to our institute. To
win you must cook a dessert that
will dazzle our judges. The
competition is on 20 Feb 2020 and
to in list we only have one
condition. You must not be in any
university.

R puts down the phone and puts her head in her hand

MOTHER
You should have taken my consent
first!
R
You would have said no and its my
own life.
MOTHER
Yes indeed I would have said no!
You want to leave the noble job of
being an engineer to seek an
unrealistic profession! What would
people say about you!
R
Thats all you care about. This is
my life and I should be the one to
choose how I live it!
MOTHER
You already chose... But don’t come
back to me crying later and blame
me on how you wasted your life..
Mother is disappointed in R.
R
I WONT! I just wish you had more
faith in me..

fail again many other times but I
will not give up till I reach what
I want. I’m not sure how, but I
know I will.
