2. The following bar graph displays the temperature in degree Celsius for the first week of
April for the year 2019 and 2020 respectively. Use the bar graph to answer the questions
presented below the graph.
i) What is the highest recorded temperature in the year 2019?
ii) What is the lowest temperature recorded for the year 2020?
iii)What is the average daily temperature for the week displayed on the bar graph for
each year?
Answer:
i) The highest temperature recorded in the year 2019 was 39 degrees Celsius on Friday
and Saturday.
ii) The lowest temperature recorded in the year 2020 was 30 degrees Celsius on Monday
and Friday.
iii)The average daily temperature recorded on the bar graph for the year 2019 is

AVERAGE DAILY TEMERATURE= 34+34+35+37+38+39+39/7=36.5

The average daily temperature recorded on the bar graph for the year 2020 is

AVERAGE DAILY TEMPERATURE= 31+30+33+33+31+30+33/7=31.5

9.The pie-chart shows the marks obtained by a student in an examination. If the student
secures 440 marks in all, calculate the marks in each of the given subjects.

10.

10.

Answer: Given: Total marks secured by a student=440

Marks in Mathematics
= 440*108/360
= 47520/360
= 132
Marks in Science
= 440*81/360
= 35640/360
= 99
Marks in English
= 440*72/360
= 31680/360
= 88
Marks in Hindi
= 440*54/360
= 23760/360
= 66
Marks in Social Science
= 440*45/360
= 19800/360
= 55
Therefore, the marks obtained in Mathematics is 132, Science is 99, English is 88, Hindi is 66, and Social
science is 55.
