A. Course Design
COURSE TITLE : CARPENTRY NCII
NOMINAL DURATION : 301 HOURS
QUALIFICATION LEVEL : NC II
COURSE DESCRIPTION : This course is designed to provide the learner with
knowledge, practical skills and attitude, applicable in
performing work activities involve in performing tasks
such as layout reference lines, fabricate, install and
remove wooden formworks, install wooden door jamb,
window frame and panels, install ceiling and wall frames
and panels, fabricate and install wooden stairs, install
wooden floor supports and panels, fabricate and install
roofing system and fabricate and install wooden cabinet.
This includes classroom learning activities and practical
work in actual work site or simulation area

TRAINEE ENTRY REQUIREMENTS


Trainees or students should possess the following requirements:
 A Holder of National Certificate Level I in Civil Works or at least Junior
High School Level Completer or an Alternative Learning System (ALS)
Certificate of Completion with grade 10 equivalent holder
 Can communicate both orally and in writing
 Can perform basic mathematical computation and mensuration

 Holder of National TVET Trainer Certificate Level I (NTTC Level I) in


CARPENTRY NC II
 Must have completed the 40-Hour Construction Safety Training Course (COSH)
per Department Order No. 13 s. 1998, Guidelines Governing Occupational Safety
and Health in the Construction Industry conducted by OSHC and DOLE
accredited Safety Training Organizations
 Must have at least two (2) years industry experience in Civil Works and one (1)
year teaching experience in Carpentry
